I don’t think Chytill has any trade value at all right now. Think teams want to see him stay healthy for a full season before they offer anything in a trade - TPC
Yea agreed. Better off keeping him for a year a reevaluate then. We know he’s got talent |

An in house option for the top 6 could be:
Kreider Mika Laf
Panarin Trocheck Kakko
Maybe Trocheck/Panarin can get Kakko going a bit, maybe not like Laf, but enough to be effective offensively again. And then Laf may be the spark Mika and Kreider need
Then the major roster moves are pushed down to the 3rd line, which is cheaper |

Kakko has logged quite a lot of minutes in the top 6 and not much to show for it.
I think LAF and Trocheck are more important duo than Panarin and Trocheck.
If you want to try an experiment…
LAF, Trocheck, Kakko. |

Why do you think that (to the bolded part)?
If you put your line together then we're doing Panarin with Kreider and Mika again?
I don't think what i proposed has ever been tried and Laf can drive play on his own now, which is exactly what Mika and Kreider need. He'll shoot the puck if given it in a good spot in addition to creating his own shot. He's shown he's ready. |

Simple, Laf on both lines |

Yeah, it could be that we have a bias, here. But, that seems to have merit! |

Because despite Panarin getting locked up and not doing much on the score sheet, seems Trocheck and LAF had found some chemistry together.
Secondly if we were to do that, I would have Kreider on the 3rd line. Enough of 20/93 together. Put Bread at LW and Im still all in on Marchessault at RW here. |

That is always the worry. I am in no way comparing Chytil to Crosby other than the head injury aspect. There was always a fear that Sid was a brush away from ending his career and it just doesn't seem to be an issues for him in recent years. - climbdenali12
If I recall correctly, Crosby's main problem ended up being some sort of neck issue and once they figured that out is when he stopped having any symptoms. |

I still kind of believe Chytil had vertigo. Because that sticks with people a long time. I’m not a doctor lol but seems something like that was the symptom of all the time he missed. They were so quiet about it all so who knows |

I mean it could have been a symptom sure. But didn't he take a few, or at least one, shot to the head? |

You've missed my disclaimer that this was an in house attempt and rounding out the top 6, thereby pushing signing/trading related roster decisions to the 3rd line so as to be cheaper and more likely to occur. |

The hit that shut him down wasn’t much at all which was the scariest part |

It would be helpful to know how much the cap will keep going up. Supposedly it will really go up the next couple years so that may allow them for a Marchessault (as an example)
Shesty and Laf need to be extended once they’re able to. That would give them an idea what kind of cap room they’ll have |

Scary thing with brain injuries is that he could take 1000 hits just fine and all it takes is one to potentially end his career - eichiefs9

Asked whether he’d be willing to move on from one or more of his core players, Drury danced around it, but said “nothing is off the table.” |

New York Rangers record with those RW's since Buchnevich was traded: 157-69-23.
Eat. A. D ick.
Tom, if all you can see is the 6 wins they were short of the Cup, rather than the 65 that preceded them, maybe you should take a break for a while.
I've always defended your right to say what you want, but that doesn't mean it's necessary all the time. Try something new, we've all heard all these comments enough. They're getting stale. |

Do Panarin and Zibanejad need more help to ease offensive load? Or is it on them to find better ways to score in the playoffs?
Drury: "I think it's a little bit of both."
As far as becoming "a heavier, more physical team," he mentioned having good internal candidates.

Drury on the core: "I do believe in our players indvidually....A lot of players had great seasons. A number of them have been very good Rangers for a long time. Now it's the part of the job to figure out whether this group collectively can get us to where we want to be." |

For me ---- hockey season is over. I will check the box scores and some highlights, but I won't be watching any Stanley Cup games.
I've got baseball, soccer and NFL training camp to look forward to. Go Yankees! |
