If he is bought out, man the length of the Cap hit is insane. He gets paid till 37-38

2 years 4.5 mil per.

- Brukie

If he’s bought out we have to try and sign him. The lineup possibilities would be endless. Would cost us nothing in assets also (obviously).

Panarin PLD Laf
Kreider Trocheck Chytil
Cuylle Zib Kakko

I can’t wait for the Zib will never be on the 3rd line blah blah blah. IDC, that’s 3 lines that can score and that 3rd line would probably be the best in the league. Maybe Zib needs to get away from the top line matchups.

I did actually have a response to you specifically, but I understand the fact that it's simply not worth it. 😅

Edit: and it's probably more like 12 pages!

Edit#2: here it is so you don't have to wade into the filth:

Went through that, too. Named our daughter Cordelia and everyone would ask, "Oh, from the Tragically Hip song?" I would always just say no, we got it from Shakespeare, same as they did.

BTW, I'm reasonably sure that you're familiar with The Hip, but if not they are well worth checking out. A truly Canadian band and iconic up here, but they really should have been bigger in the US.

Love the name Cordelia. I was just watching Ran (1985 film, a feudal retelling of king lear) this week and stumbled upon the wiki for King Lear.

Ok. You give me the insults I can use in response to Tom and Brukie trolling every single hockey post I make.

And by the way fellas. When I wasn’t posting every single one of you got into a fight with Tom lol. I saw it.

My strategy with trolls is always to go about 5 steps lower. With these two ass holes, about 10 steps lower.

But with draft and free agency coming up, I’m ready talk hockey.

But you guys are kidding yourselves that’s gonna be easy around here with Tom and Brukie around.

Just saw rumor of the rangers interest in Tyler bertuzzi. Thoughts? He would definitely provide grit. Don’t know if there is any truth or just a random rumor site lol

Nice. King Lear was never my favourite, but my wife said she settled on that name the first time she read it.

I have a hard time believing they’d commit big money to a free agent left winger

A bit familiar since the Sadies (Best Canadian band ever) backed up Gord. Been meaning to check out more of their stuff, liking what I've heard. I know they are huge up north.
Yeah, they have really had next to no exposure south of the border except for a minor hit years ago which is unfortunate. I only listen to college radio so have a bit more exposure than the average poophead that listens to Hot 97 or whatever the pop station is.

Okay, just listened to Cordelia. Good tune, you sure there wasn't a wee bit of influence or are you just that highbrow?

They really need to find a way to add a top line RW. Not sure how unless someone like Trouba is moved. Gonna be an interesting summer. The rangers are close. But not good enough as currently built

Again with the name calling.

Great strategy, not really working out for you.

Try talking hockey instead of insulting people with your baseless slander and homophobic slurs.

Trading Trouba now will of course open up Cap space but what kind of message does it send to free agents when they are looking to sign here? If he is traded that will mean we traded our last three Captains. Not a good look.

As tough as it is to talk about the guy most easy to move could actually be Kreider.

He goes from NMC to 15 team NTC. He’s paid fine for a guy that regularly scores well over 30 goals now.

He’s the one guy making large money that could fetch a decent return, and open things up on left wing for Cuylle to play more, Othmann to get in. And then you could look at obtaining an actual right winger with that breathing room

Yea he def has the most trade value on the team. Think he could bring back a 1st rounder plus in a trade. I don’t want to move him but he will be 34 next season. Maybe it’s time to cash out before the value potentially falls off. Would be tough pill to swallow though

It may be one of the hardest players to ever say goodbye to.

But I don’t think Trouba, Mika etc are movable

Buying out Trouba is stupid. Just let him finish it out

He will never be worth close to 8 million a year but he still can be very effective

It wouldn’t be the first time the franchise traded their captain. Hasn’t stopped players from signing with the rangers over the last decade. Don’t think it’s that big of a deal. He is a free agent in 2 years anyway so the captain C will be changing soon anyway

“Stopping players from signing here”

I’ve heard it a million times. Will never happen.

And everybody in the league hates Trouba anyway. Lol.

Yea Mika can’t go anywhere. It just sucks for me cause I wouldn’t mind Trouba on a Lindgren type of deal at 3-4 million per. With Fox and Schneider passing him on the RHD depth chart it’s killing them that cap hit for a 3rd pair guy.

I just don’t think they can run it back. They need to make some type of core move and shake it up a little. Don’t want to waste another year of these players prime seasons. Kreider really might be the only trade possible

I’ve thought about trading Kreider, but at 6.5, is whoever we replace him with going to bring that much more for the cap hit?

That is the other side of it. He still is very productive for 6.5 million per year
