I’ve thought about trading Kreider, but at 6.5, is whoever we replace him with going to bring that much more for the cap hit? - nyrangers9479
Welp the problem is that we don’t have any natural RWs. We’ve already forced Lafreniere to become a RW and they have kept Othmann on left wing in Hartford |

Someone is gonna overpay him - TPC
My father in law last offseason mentioned Toronto signing domi as a type of gritty move we need to make and I was like, Glenn, my dude, the guy averages 0.5 hits per game. He’s just an bumhole, that is not the same as grit. Mika “spaghetti arms” zibanejad averages more than double that |

Yea he def has the most trade value on the team. Think he could bring back a 1st rounder plus in a trade. I don’t want to move him but he will be 34 next season. Maybe it’s time to cash out before the value potentially falls off. Would be tough pill to swallow though - TPC
Rangers being in win now mode arent looking for picks. Im sure they are looking for some gritty players to add to this line up. Trading one of our best goal scorers isnt going to help. |

Yea players want money and a chance to win. They know the rangers give them that as a free agent - TPC
True, we won the Presidents trophy, that was very important. |

Lafreniere can graduate to Kreider’s spot on the #1 powerplay unit though if that spot was open.

Trading CK20 would be a big blow to this line up. He is a career Ranger. Production dried up in the Playoffs. The Rangers need to break up CK20 and Mika and try something different while incorporating some more youth and grit. |

Kreiders gotta stay, he’s built for the pp. Mika or Trocheck can move down. And they’re not trading him |

Probably not. But. I think the point is of the guys who are making big money he is actually the one with trade value and plays a position we are loaded in. |

But CK20 is really good as a net front presence on the PP. Will that be much of an upgrade? PP produced, was really good, just dried up vs the Panthers. |

I know. That’s why I think Kreider actually has trade value, where other players that people want to trade actually don’t have any trade value. |

But why break up the PP when its producing? We need to look to increase 5v5 production.
Aside from the Panarin line, we really didnt have any. |

The difference being that Domi got MORE physical once the playoffs started and Mika less so.
I have never been a fan of Domi, but he impressed me in Toronto's series.

I agree with this.
I've been saying it for about a season now, Kreider will retire having only ever been a Ranger and will be the last one to wear 20 for us.
It would be criminal negligence to trade him without ever exploring what our line up could be if him and Mika were split up first. |

We we are definitely going to have another year of complaining that Lafreniere is not on the 1st powerplay unit |

Nice. King Lear was never my favourite, but my wife said she settled on that name the first time she read it. - Tonybere
Tony, not sure where you stand on movies but like i said RAN (1985) is a feudal retelling with samurai's in early period Japan. Instead of daughters it is sons. It's an epic (about 2 hours 45 minutes) and Japanese subtitles. But it's an awesome movie. Akira Kurosawa directed it.

Would splitting up the first unit a bit give us a better 2nd unit? I remember thinking aside from LAF i didn't think anyone on the 2nd unit was great in the playoffs. It's like Okay here are 4 other guys on the ice who maybe shouldn't be here.
Wonder if Trocheck/Panarin/Laf are on the first unit while Kreider/Zibanejad/Fox are on the 2nd or something to spread the wealth.

If Kreider is still a Ranger he’s gotta be on first power play unit. And so does Fox.
Trocheck wins faceoffs and that’s really important for PP1 |

So you want to have the second line as our first PP unit and the first line as our second PP unit? |

Looking to cut the cord this year, but MSG has been my only hesitance.
Have a neighbor who uses Apollo TV on fire stick. Guess he pays like $100 for the year and gets all channels including 3 MSG channels plus PPV fights etc.
Said there’s a few second delay, and sounds somewhat illegal but wondering if anyone on here uses it? |

What’re you using? Or is it just your cable provider username/password? |
