I don’t see blomquist being ready. I’d like to see him get called up for a couple games this year and see how he does but that’s probably it.

Maybe mid season arrival for Blomquist if he plays as well next year behind an entirely new defense. But start of the year feels aggressive.

Teams were not allowed to expose players with NMCs unless the player waived -- plus you wouldn't have given Malkin away for free back then.

Here's a fun fact: Geno's production has been better than McCanns the past three seasons and this despite a really bad Pens power play. Yes, McCann had 40 goals two seasons ago to Genos 27 but Geno had 13 more points. Their goals were only 2 apart this past season with Geno having 8 more total points.

3 seasons ago Geno was 42 points in 41 games, McCann was 50 in 74 games.

This was tossed around a lot. David Quinn and Sully are homies from BU days. Quinn would give Sully his ID so he could get into bars in college lol I figured he was going to be the assistant coach hire as soon as Reirden got canned.

Gotta be a good thing that our new assistant has worked with EK. Good, logical hire IMO.

I didn't want him exposed (truthfully I wanted Carter as well), but just going off the narrative. If Hex was going to be a bad guy that would be the ultimate hated move.
