Zemgus is gritty? You can't be serious Bossman. He's on his ass more than his skates. He's not fast and isn't a great PKer either. He's experienced. I think I'd rather bring Eric Johnson back and let him play 4LW, it's that bad.

What exactly do you want him to do? The Sabres have been one of the least desirable places to play since I can remember. Players in the 1980s hated being traded here, and it hasn't changed.

He is being replaced on the PK cause our PK sucked while he was on it.

Sure he mops up the ice at times, as a direct result of effort plays
He also is a decent pk guy that blocks shots and puts his health on the line

Johnson was old and spent, Girgensons still has a handful of effective years ahead of him.

ship out 2 of your prospects and a pick for a legit top 6 player

if they are not going to sign via UFA use your assets to get a few impact guys that will help this team be a cup contender not just a team that can limp into the 7th or 8th seed
