Old School ? Tripping over the Blue line and falling into someone isn't it. - Buff36
I might send 11-OA to Piit for them to take him rather than re-sign him.
He completely sucks and has negative value here now. |

I appreciate your opinion
I’m concerned that Lindy may not like Zem’s lack of old school physicality. He does play solid defense as a forward though - Boss34
He's gotten too slow to kill penalties. Not a good thing is defense is your calling card.
I know I'll get accused of wanting Reaves, but we saw what asking Cozens to stand up for his team against someone way out his class did for them. 4th line is the obvious place for that. KA may love Girgs, but his budget is tight and he talks about adding toughness all the time.

Zem is hardly a fighter , although few guys can n the Sabres drop the gloves.
Have you heard anything on bills psl’s other then the club seats? - Boss34
Don't care if he fights, he isn't good on the PK Either. Are PK has only been ranked once in the top 20 since he started doing it. Should have been gone 2 years ago. Better versions of Girgensons available. |

Would you move up a couple spots for Yakemchuk or Lindstrom ? - Buff36
Both those guys are my type of players, depending on the cost I'd be open to it
Cost is likely prohibitive to grab Lindstrom at 5 - 7 and about the same For Yakemchuk... Maybe a spot or 2 later. |

Lindstrom's injury scare enough for him to fall ? - Buff36
He's probably the safest forward outside of Macklin. I don think he'll fall very much if at all.

I see this side of the argument.
We need to win, if zem is holding us back, he should be fired.
My point though, he’s just a 4th line role player that does his job. - Boss34
What is his job exactly? He isn't good at the pk and doesn't really bring energy. Skates hard ill give him that but it amounts to nothing. Does he match up against top lines to be that defensive forward? No
Its just time I don't hate him its just time. Find someone else at half the cost |

Won't Lindy maximize his effectiveness? Would be a great addition.

Gritty in todays game as a defensive 4th liner
He’s a good skater with some speed
Sure he mops up the ice at times, as a direct result of effort plays
He also is a decent pk guy that blocks shots and puts his health on the line
Johnson was old and spent, Girgensons still has a handful of effective years ahead of him.
Also, international experience and allstar - Boss34
I don't know dawg, if you're right then he's my Reinhart. I absolutely despise his game and the way he plays, I don't consider him a legitimate NHL hockey player. I'd say he is bottom 10% in the league in terms of any talent he possesses and below replacement level in terms of passing. If we're going to move forward and be a competitive team, we need to rid ourselves of guys who can't carry or pass a puck. Eric Johnson was hyperbole, but to be completely honest, I don't think the results they produced would be much different. |

Girgensons is a lock for next season, unless Lindy really doesn’t like him.
Krebs is replaceable as the 4th line not tough enough guy that fights imo

Pretty much polar opposite career's. One will go down as a top role player in the game while never missing the playoffs, the other just goes down. |

I admire zem’s commitment to the city and team.
He shows up and plays hockey without taking a shift off. Winning or losing , he’s all out effort.
He kinda sucks at times sure, but not by lack of effort. He really has stone hands , but consistently pops in 10 goals in a limited time and with subpar mates.

I get this side of the Girgensons argument.
I’ve had season tickets and watched him probably play 200-250 games live.
I appreciate his effort I guess
