I’m not sure if the return in Byram would have been as good if KA was really “forced”

Good hockey trade

- Boss34

Why not? Cheap 2C at the deadline should be in high demand.

I'm fine with the trade, but story is that he wanted to extend him, he was just asking too much for them.

Sure, but Adams hasn't proven he can do what it takes like Beane has.
- Buff36

KA deserves most of the blame

I’m just hoping Donnie was a bigger problem and Lindy a solution at the coaching position.

I still like KA , but my patience is running very thin.

He’s getting by on being a nice buffalo guy

Good trade and I liked mitts ……

No way the Sabres could sign another smallish non physical player long term imo

He probably would have gotten a better contract here in Buffalo. More $$$

I think the "forced" was in regard to Mitts contract demands, not demanding a trade out that was public.

Adams was forced in that he knew he didn't want to sign Mitts to a contract that Mitts wanted.
That's how I interpreted it anyway.

Completely agree

Thanks for breaking it down for me .

Byram seams to be exactly what we need on defense.

If ry Jo could take the next step and samuelsson stay somewhat healthy, I’m digging the defense and goaltending…..

His $10m hit is going to be impactful in Zito's reconstitution of the roster though.
He is playing lights out in these PO's.

Thought you were better than this too, but perhaps not.

Think about this when you hold your newborn at night.

My wife works in the industry and I see first hand everything these people go through.

I wouldn’t wish it on anyone

It is hard enough to get to the cup finals let alone twice in a row. It just doesn't matter and it matters even less if they win the cup this year

Why enjoy winning when you are missing out on potential 3+ years from now.

>>> We’ll send Jokiharju and the 11th pick in the 2024 NHL draft to the Philadelphia Flyers for center Scott Laughton and the Florida Panthers’ first-round pick, which will be 31st or 32nd overall.

I would gladly pay any goalie $10 million a year for 7 years if it meant even just ONE cup win.

Florida also doesn’t get there without him, let alone for a second time.

Only people like you are retarded. Get out of here with that sh¡t dude.

I like Laughton as that 3C, but that trade? Naw.

However, I know Philly/Briere like him a lot. But that doesn't mean you overpay for him.

Position matters on a lot on these guys. Nothing easier to find than an LW.

I think that if Adams thought nearly as much of Laughton as the Flyers pretend they like him, this trade would have happened a while ago. I think he is on the wrong side of 30 to be 3C. There are much better options elsewhere.

Sure Laughton will get a bit more because he's a C, not very good on the Dot.
