It also helps that the panthers have an all star team in front of him. They are by far the best top 9 team in the league. Their 4th line sucks but they barely play.

Other goalies like Tampa have had this same luxury.

Insert any bruins goalie into that system and they are elite.

Put any of those goalies on the Sabres, and they play takes a dump

Personally, I think you're right, the coaching is a big missing piece...that being said it further cements my thoughts that guys like Eichel, RoR and Okposo weren't the leaders people think they are.

I really hope the latter doesn't hold true. Lindy isn't a guy to take poop from an owner without a fight, hopefully he can exhort some sort of resilience amongst these kids. If you are right, we're going to watch the team keep failing and eventually move.

Unfortunately, I'm the wrong person to ask as I'm just not in that type of situation. I've always worked for poopty companies and owners, until now, but I battled through and made my bones for the bad ones. It's what got me to where I am.

Sadly, I'm sure making that type of money as a kid changes perspective drastically and I'll never understand what that's like. I'd imagine their fuse is much shorter.

Bills have certainly come close recently. It gives me hope that the curse is just that, and not some sort of issue with the city.

The defense isn't out of this world(the goalie yeah), how many times does McDavid have the puck in the slot area/high cirlce and he franking passses off trying for a back door tap in. Shoot the damn thing.

Just last night he did like 3-4 times in the last 5-10 minutes when they almost tied it.
