And if you read the rule book it's when the stick makes initial contact with the puck on a delay of game call, not when it leaves the stick like on an icing. Which he clearly makes contact well inside the zone. It's indeed a missed call. See rule 63.2(iii) - wreckage
They showed a view where puck was still on his blade outside the line. The “expert ref analyst” on ABC said it was the right call. He basically said the opposite of what you are saying the rule book says. |

And the experts on SportsNet said that the rule says it is where the shot began and not when it comes off the stick. So the opposite of what you are saying. |

I’m not sure who this guy is - but I guess he has the same ‘Idiotic narratives’ as me…
“We’ve got a really good power play, and we win a lot of games on the power play,” Knobaluch said post-game. “And it’s unfortunate for us that it’s tougher to draw penalties in the playoffs then it is in the regular season.
This guy sounds like some idiot pushing his narrative that the Oilers rely heavily on PP to win games. |

Yup, the Oilers coach admits that special teams are a big part of their game. He has also mentioned their PK as being a big part of their game in the playoffs.. Both the PK and PP are parts of special teams. But you keep saying the McPP's are the only reason they have even made they playoffs or moved beyond the 1st round.
Any hockey fan can see it's a big part of their game, but to say the only reason is also false. Keep pushing your McPowerplays narrative and we can keep laughing at you. Until your trolling game gets better I'll chose not to respond.
Continue enjoying the leafs being bounced early every year because their MattPowerplay doesn't work in the playoffs. Nor their TavPowerplay, Marpowerplay, or nypowerplay.
And MAYBE, your 2nd team will get into the playoffs soon in the dead things. But they're still a few years away from doing anything like making a SCF. |

Here's the exact wording:
"On any player who shoots or bats (using his hand or his stick) the puck directly (non-deflected) out of the playing surface from his defending zone, except where there is no glass. The determining factor shall be the position of the puck when it was shot or batted by the offending player. If contact with the puck occurs while the puck is inside the defending zone, and subsequently goes out of play, the minor penalty shall be assessed. When the puck is shot over the glass ‘behind’ the players’ bench, the penalty will be assessed"
This is badly worded. It doesn't cover a situation where contact begins inside the defending zone and ends outside. It says "when it was shot" but doesn't specify the beginning or end of the shot. Also, "contact with the puck" could be anything (stickhandling, passing, shooting, etc.) so it's also not defined.
It's a pretty gray area, could go either way. Personally, as a guy pulling or the Panthers, I thought it should have been a penalty. |

Stop. Now you are making yourself look just dumb. Clearly inches in front of the line when shot out over the glass. Even the HNIC panel said it was a clear penalty. Be better.

It’s funny that two broadcasts said the exact opposite thing of each other.

The coach said this in relation to not getting power plays. This was the Dallas series. He wasn’t talking special teams (both pk and pp) he was specifically talking about the power play and how they rely on that to win a lot of games….which is what I have been saying.
And again wut the troll thing. I love it. So any fan posting a negative opinion on another teams board is a ‘troll’…every poster on here is a troll based on that.
The Oilers are not a good ‘team’. They are 2 mega stars and a PP. If that opinion is being a troll to you lot - then I don’t know what to tell you. |

The 5mon major for kneeing should have been a 2 min trip.
Puck over glass should have been called.
Drais should be suspended 2 games.
Carrick should be suspended 1 game as well.
Oilers won’t win unless they start getting PP goals. |

Oilers with zero high danger 5 on 5 opportunities. That is insane when Leon and McD are playing as many minutes as they have been.

No need to be so angry dude. Pretty much everyone but you and the American broadcasters say it's a penalty but hey you do you man. If you can't understand the basics of this particular Hockey Rule as shown in the SN video as clearly a penalty...you are fully f ucking retarded. Best. |

Well it was insane they managed to best the Canucks. They will need more luck to win against the Panthers. |
