Six pages of comments and nary a mention of Dedimov or Levshunov. Exactly two weeks from this hour, we'll know the pick. - boilermaker100

Oh man, are they going to fuse the 2 bones together? I'd have to pass on him if I'm the Blackhawks at 2nd OA. |

Probably try rehab first then possibly fusion. It depends on where in the back the herniated disc is.
A habs site was talking about it. He might end up dropping to 7-15

That's why I said ceiling. If everything goes exactly to plan, then he hits that level. I don't think anyone would have an issue with that at all.
I actually wouldn't be all that upset if he ended up Theodore level. Just someone who can drive offense from the backend and be reasonable defensively. - Chunk
Oh, I don't think anyone would have an issue with it either. I just was keyed in on when you said is that the ceiling we should expect. I don't think we should expect it, I think we should hope for it, but in my opinion, I don't think KK has the same ceiling Bouchard does. I think Bouchard is and will be a better goal scoring dman than KK. Time will tell and I'm all for him proving me wrong. |

All depends what stage of herniated disc was.there are 4 stages. None are good. All reports though it's not as serious as it sounds. |

You know many get caught up in the goal scoring of a defenseman, not directed at you, but there is so much more to being a good dman. I agree with Lou if you got a dman who can pot 40 to 60 points, is good in his own end and can keep the puck in the ozone, and keep the offensive drive or cycle alive you have a stud of a NHL defenseman.

Calm and rational my ass. All I asked for was some logic and situational awareness. Go ahead and lose yer $hit.
Highest whipping boy odds right now:
Jones
Murphy
AA
Kurashev
Hall
Reichel
Guentzel - Chunk
I have Reichel 3rd or first offensive player.

I’m with you Wiz, however nobody held a gun to their head when they gave $9M to Nurse. - Angotti
Therein lies the problem. All it takes is one bad signing to really hamstring a franchise for years. |

Very true but that is what Davidson and company has to do their due diligence and talk to medical doctors and determine if this going to be a chronic thing or this just isolated situation in which can come back 100% . I still think levashov is the pick another name to consider is Catton I think if he was
Bigger he be in consideration for the top three. |

I believe this news drops him into the teens at least, he may actually be there for the 18th pick

One bad signing is tough but they seem to have a bad signing once every 2 to 3 years, like Campbell is another one. |

This just an hypothetical and have no idea the status of this player Joel farabee from Philly. Would give up the 18th pick and 50th pick or prospect for him. |

You can argue 3 bad signings, Nurse, Campbell, and Kane |

Nurse is the worse of the three kane if healthy is a good solid player. Campbell has always been a backup have no idea why some gms thought he was a number one goalie. |

And despite his points Bouchard is very average defensively. He was lost on the first and third goals. - paulr
Now take a look at the first goal and explain what McDavid was doing. On the third goal watch Ekholm along the boards and explain that. Bouchard has not had a great series for sure. Trying to do too much, not getting his shot through, asked to play almost 30 minutes per game against a better team and a goalie who is in everyone's head. Hedman, McAvoy, and Fox are all playing golf while this very average defenseman is 2nd in points overall, 2nd in points even strength, 3rd in +/-, and playing for the Cup.

Well like is a strong word, but i think he would work well with Bedard on the PP and be able to trade him when his contract was expiring. |

Picked up my annual copy of the Hockey News Draft edition and it’s very different than allot of the prognosticators. Silayev is the highest ranked defenseman at three, Buium at four, D!ckinson five and Levshunov at seven. That is the lowest I’ve seen Levshunov ranked. I was thinking if Chicago went with a defender Levshunov was the guy, now I have no idea what to expect? |

There's no way they use either 1st rounder on hockey player who is 18 yrs old, that big with a herniated disc already.
That's just bad GM'ing. I wouldn't take him at 34. Waste of a pick
