Mollie Waller mentioned in her article tonight that there may be a prearranged deal for the sharks to claim Goodrow off waivers
Would be cool if true - TPC
Yea saw that too. Brooks said it too. I betcha this is a favor by Grier
Then they can do Kakko and pick 30 for pick 14 as a return favor |

Taking on Goodrow’s full contract is favor enough |

I know that’s why I think the Kakko thing could happen. It’s been rumored sharks get Kakko and 30 OA for 14 OA. Thats good for SJ that deal. They were one of 4 teams “interested” in Kakko |

Interesting that his good playoffs essentially brings him up to a neutral cost, and no longer having to attach an asset to him. If this is true, of course. Brooks is very plugged in though. |

Looks like Olaf Lindboms time with the NYR is done. That was a WTF draft pick at the time and turned out, everyone except the people that drafted him were right.
Karl Henriksson’s time with the Rangers could be over also. - nyrangers9479
It is, he signed a 3 year deal to go back to Sweden |

Weird. Why not just trade him for “future considerations” then?
I’m split on Goodrow, I get both sides of the argument. Personally, I think he’s a good 4th line center that provides a lot of intangibles but we can’t afford his cap hit for what he brings. Would I like to see him stay? Sure. Am I going to be upset if he leaves? I’ll get over it. |

Thats a terrible trade. KK might not be pouring it on scoring wise but he is at the very least a good third line player now at 23. To trade him for a 14th pick would be ridiculous. |

I just think it shows Drury is trying to make a legit upgrade. He needs cap space. Goodrow is a solid player but can be replaced by some of the kids on the 4th line. This may point to them keeping Trouba |

That’s why it’s a return favor lol I can’t believe they would simply take goodrow from us for nothing
Although, Grier is pretty dumb |

Trouba played on 1 leg the end of season and playoffs. That’s on Lavy to recognize he looked terrible, knew why he looked terrible, but continued putting him out there. |

Put Goodrow on the fourth line with the twin towers and leave him there, how many line mates has that guy had, I bet the most on the team, Jesus the guy shows up in the playoffs unlike half our team give him a role and leave it be |

I am pretty sure it was said that trouba wasn’t injured anymore for end of season and playoffs. Who knows if that’s true or not, but apparently he wasn’t playing injured (as opposed to Fox). |

30OA to 14OA is a big jump tho.
Just to be clear this isn’t my idea it’s what I read. Someone was speculating that they package Kakko and 30OA to move up into the teens.
Kakko sucks too. Some fans have trouble accepting reality…his value is in the abyss |

KK has to realize he ain’t a scorer in this league, contribute goals when he can but bang the body and be defensively responsible , like a young Goodrow, sometimes you need an outside voice to tell you what you are, but I ain’t giving up KK for and a thirty for a 14 no way |
