You were in the clink, No way?? What did you do??
Kane can be a maybe but Tarasenko Forced the trade to Fla, lives lin Fla, kids are enrolled in school in Fla and will most likely win a Cup in Fla, Im pretty sure he will find a way to stay there. - Brukie
Because I said Rocky and Bullwinkle I’ve said a lot worse put it that way
I’d like to get along with you because you’re loud and annoying when we don’t
You’ve mentioned this before about Tarasenko and I know, but do they have enough cap space for Reinhart AND Tarasenko? Idk 🤷🏻♂️ or kids on the way. He just left Ottawa, liked it in NY and is somewhat of a nomad last few years so I don’t how committed he really is to Florida |

Per Cap Friendly:
A Jacob Trouba buyout spans 4 years, has a cost of $8,000,000 and savings of $4,000,000. Trouba is 30 years of age at the time of the buyout; therefore, the buyout ratio is 2/3. With $12,000,000 in salary remaining, the cost is $8,000,000, and the savings are $4,000,000.
Cap hit is $4mil this year and next, so a cap savings of $4 mil for each of the next two years. Then a $2 mil cap hit for 26-27 and 27-28. - airjan23

To me the most likely/reasonable trade is Kakko + for Buchnevich. Idk what the + would be, but that would cure a lot of the teams ills pretty easily without much damage. Keeping Buch again next season would be a tough one but possible. I guess depending on the year he’d have. |

You can’t let things go lol would he help us? Yea. Should he have never been traded? Yes.
If we have him we don’t have Trocheck probably. So we’re (frank)ed either way |

Who are some RW that we could go after though? To get one, Perrault could be part of the package going back.
Personally; I think it PLD is bought out, he’s the perfect fit for that spot. Would cost nothing, one of his strengths is driving 5v5 play, and he’s a big, physical player. Checks a lot of boxes IMO. I get guys don’t want to trade for him and give up assets, but if he’s free to sign, you’re not going to get better. - nyrangers9479

Sure, if he takes a 1-2 year deal. But he won’t; he’s likely looking for his last pay day and I don’t want to be stuck with a 34 year old with his best years behind him and listen to everyone on here demanding he be bought out. |

LOL I can't say I disagree with this. Sure he has had two seasons of 30+ goals, but it just screams an NYR signing that we would all hate sooner than later
I would love if Drury could manage to get Buch back. I'm just not sure I see it. I think he had a sour taste in his mouth with how everything went down last time, too. I'm thinking there may be a trade that no one is expecting. I'm ready for the Panthers to lift the cup so we can move on to trades and the draft/next season

Well, you're in luck. You probably only have to wait another 13 hours or so... |

Our prospect pool is drying up, we don’t have a 2nd round pick for the next 3 years, no defensive prospects in the pipeline outside of Robertson (who looks like a bust), at F we have Perrault Roobroeck and Othmann.
Can’t be signing 30+ year olds that we’ll get 2 years out of and hate the last 3-4. Need to sign guys in their 20’s and start stocking the prospect pool again. |

We’re smack dab in the middle of our window. We have a mix of older and younger. I’d say compared to other contenders we’re pretty well positioned for the future. Large cap hits coming off the books in 2-3 years

well, we've been a really good team for awhile and usually miss on our 2nd round picks anyway

There's always give and take when it comes to a teams prospect pool. Sure, we always want it to be flush with talent. And for the most part it has been as of late. But you're right in that part of being a really good team is later picks which typically have a lesser shot of hitting. I like our prospects for the most part. I think Sykora also has a good NHL trajectory. Berard could be a nice middle six forward. I'd like us to strengthen our D and RW positions

What players in their 20s are out there that can help this team? Those players don’t hit the free agent market or are way out of our price range lol |

Cuylle, Rempe, Edstrom will all continue to develop
the RW thing doesn't scare me with the young players because its really the only place for these young forwards to go unless there's a big trade
the blue line depth concerns me more than anything else |

I think the top line RW is going to be filled this offseason. Drury has been trying to patch that at the at the last few trade deadlines and failed. He knows it’s a black hole on this roster that needs a permanent fix. He may have to get creative but I really think he goes all out to finally solve it |

How bad will this place get if its Kane?
I saw a rumor mangipane may be traded so that’s another guy to bandy about. He’s only got one year left. They probably need to avoid a long term guy |

Exactly my thought. ECF in 2 of 3 years. Go for it now and strike while the iron is hot. Don’t worry about the age of players you’re bringing in so long as it’s not wildly terrible
This is still a relatively young team. The farm is most certainly not in as bad of shape as people think.
I’m sure a vocal minority will roast this post… |

Don't think we see big moves, but we need to figure out how to get that 1st line going for next season. Hopefully one of the youngsters in the A can make the jump out of training camp. |

Nah, pretty much how I see it, with a few players who slumped this year having a better season next year
