Watching the final and some euro cup since it’s done daily before the nhl game… the biggest headache is the 3 day wait everytime they travel. Game 5: Tuesday, 6: Friday, 7 (if needed): Monday.
Literally takes the NHL til the 24th of June at the latest. People are well out of hockey mode by summertime unless it’s their team for the most part, maybe the league needs to clue into this? - Dozzer
They really dragged these finals out. Go back to games every other day.
End the finals by June 15th.
The league wont clue into anything....it never does.

logistic to move teams, journalists and full crews back and forth between Edm and Flo didn't work every 2nd day. They would have required a bunch of chartered flights instead of going commercial (except the teams of course)

The travel time is the same as the NBA, with the extra day, I’m kind of hoping it’s based on the two leagues working together to make sure each of their finals games are on different days.

I don't have a problem with the spacing - I have a problem with the timing.
I'm praying this goes the distance, so we have game 7 on a franking Monday night.

This morning I made the coffee.
Finished off the giant-arsed tin.
As I was about to toss it in the blue bin, I paused and thought, "I should keep this - I bet I can find a use for it."

I do that almost weekly now and add the 'new thing that will be perfect to put shiit in' that I never actually put anything in 99% of the time to my collection of coffee tins, dishwasher pod containers, laundry soap containers etc.......
I have used like one of these in the past year i think and that was to put Rat Poison bait blocks into. lol
Worst part - my wife now adds to the chaos "This would be a good container for some thing in the garge no? Here take it".
Between that and the "this is a good box i should keep in case I need a bunch of boxes one day" feel like official signs of aging.
That and the weirdly sized piece of wood that you are convinced you will use one day.

All of the above you absolutely won't need until the day after you dispose of them.

My gf took one of those empty rectangular cardboard containers that PC coffee beans come in, filled it with cement, put a sisal rope in the top for a handle then cut away the coffee container when the cement set, to make a door stop for a heavy and often wind-blown door.

This is true - same as the random small screw that you put on the window ledge and leave for 6 months and your wife tosses in the garbage. You absolutely need it the next day.

I do this thought process for each empty scotch box/container i create. - Fakepartofme
Oh snap that reminds me that I had a collection of wooden cigar boxes that sat and collected dust until one night having a backyard fire I went to get a stogie and scotch and let my inner pyro seal the fate of those boxes. Lol

Yeah all the delays are just bleeding casual fans, same as the full week gap waiting for game 1.

My daughter used to work at an art gallery. The art gallery owner was a cigar freak and always had a bunch of nice wooden cigar boxes to give away. I got most of them over a period of several years and now I have a ton of them laying around. All of them are packed with rocks, fossils, meteorites, artifacts, and antique doodads/ephemera. My grandson is going to have the hard time making heads or tails of it one day after I'm gone.
He knows not to just throw them all out - there's a good bit of money in dem boxes.

Christmas trees are good for that too. I like fire.
