Pronger had 77 points in his draft year in 61 games. He was a unicorn and a slower pro start to dominance didn't hinder that.
The guys I listed were poop at offense in their draft year and before, but known for defense. They evolved their game and were big guys with different strengths/weaknesses. Like the scouts say, Silayev is a unicorn and he could very well end up being Joel Edmundson as equally as he ends up being Hedman. Hell, he could be Darnell Nurse who was also a hopeful unicorn that for a time looked like his offensive game would take the next step to match his size and skating. That's the danger. All tools with a potentially ridiculous and maybe unreasonable high ceiling and a very strong base. |
