A promising, young prospect, traded away by the Maple Leafs without ever getting a real chance?
That's EXACTLY the type of player we should be on the look out for!!!
(maybe I'm geographically biased, but they complain about that as much as we do) - Tonybere
He has a big playoffs which has raised his price. Originally, I think the view was three years, 10 mil or so. Now could be 4-5 years and possibly more than 4 mil per. |

Oh yea 3 of our 6 defensemen were banged up…including both of our top pair…had nothing to do with losing the series
We know, we know..only Zib and Panarin are to blame
- Slimtj100
Tj, keeping telling yourself that, you are an enabler, you make excuses for everything to fit your narrative. All teams suffer injuries, its a fact, some teams make it thru the playoffs better than others. Problem here is that our best players arent suited for the playoff grind. Mika was all but invisible and even with Panarin having a 49 goal season, he only produced 5 goals in 16 games, his last when the series was already over. These guys shy away from being physical, even against smaller opponents. His back check was better but once again, it is who he is. I had thought he was more engaged these playoffs and his line mates produced so his performance was a C-. Mika gets an F. He produced nothing, didnt carry play, was hemmed in our zone most of the time, yeah blame his RW which he had 5 of this season. Yes I know he was a good PK killer but your first line center HAS to produce, otherwise out the door we go. Which is exactly what happen. Dont kid yourself.
Lindgren is always hurt, thats a fact. There is no way he will ever make it thru a series and not have an injury. This is something to think about going forward.
With the series as close as it was, do you think if the first line produced say another 4 goals in series and Panarin say 2 aside from his late useless goal, the series would have been different??? |

Yes, they most likely would have won. Injuries happen to all teams. The big boys were set down by Florida. Edmonton has McDavid who is carrying their bacon with Draisaitl hurt. Florida shut down Tampa's and Boston's stars. I think it was a conglomeration of lots of factors, including the big boys getting shut down. That also doesn't mean I am fully blowing it up. |

Impossible to blow it up. We are stuck with these players for a long time. There is no way Panarin is walking in 2 years. They will resign him. There is one thing that isnt on the score sheet and it isnt measured, thats heart. Some of these guys dont have it.
I just dont get why they didnt want to try and break up Mika and CK20 just to try and get some spark. |

Goodrow is pissed the worst team in the NHL picked him up.
I think Drury said you know what, we haven’t won with him around we could lose without him too lol he served his purpose as a mentor leader type, but it was time to move on.
I did think after his playoffs, he could be traded as opposed to waived or bought out but I guess that wasn’t going to happen
There is no doubt the rangers got very lucky here tho that Grier wanted the guy - Slimtj100
Don't think it was luck..Drury and Grier definitely did some talking |

We talking Anthony Mantha? That's a yes from me. Oft injured, rarely uses his physicality and has never hit the 50 point mark? Sounds like a perfect Ranger. |

I think the next move should be to trade lindgren. His body can’t keep up with the style he plays. What good is he if he always hurt when we need him most. |

Hysterical, did you write that yourself, even funnier since Im not.
Jim please explain once again how 5v5, even strength isnt important and is an overrated metric. Your insight will be most intriguing. |

I agree, he is a player that will never make it thru a playoff run without an injury. We love him as a player but will he last?
Of course depends on the return and who he can be replaced with. |

No you said it doesnt matter that the Rangers werent producing 5v5 because the PP will carry them. Specifically the Mika line. Please show me how that PP success carried them to the finals.
I love your insight, so well thought out. |
