Thanks for your input. The main thing to win in Hockey is the Stanley Cup. There is no award to making the Conference Finals. Hey if you want to throw a party for making it to the Conference Finals, knock yourself out, Im not coming, the main goal every year is to win the Cup, you go celebrate the conference finals.

The two of us, Im assuming Tom and I, we dont ruin anything, its the Rangers that do, 1 Cup in 80 years isnt our fault, lazy players, not our fault. I just point out their short comings, not my fault, just facts.

If you want rainbows and unicorns watch a Disney movie, this is a sport, this is real life, these guys get paid an extraordinary amount of money to perform, but fail. Not our fault.

- Brukie

You do realize that with a salary cap league the rangers pay their guys in total the same amount as every other team. Saying they get paid a lot and therefore should win is asinine

It’s unbelievable with these guys

Not only do we all have to suffer because the Rangers didn’t win the Cup this year and it’s devastating, but we have two totally sadistic regular posters here who feel the need to constantly twist the knife about it and make us suffer here too.

Brukie and Tom are sick twisted people

If he can dump Trouba without buying him out I'll change it.

I would also settle for them moving on from Lindgren (I don't want to but it's the right choice).

Nevertheless, the Rangers should absolutely give Shesterkin a massive new contract anyway

Edmonton and Toronto have been trying for years to find the right goalie

- jimbro83

I just hope it takes up 10% or less of the cap

That’s why this year coming up where he and Lafreniere combine for only an 8 million cap hit is such a huge last chance opportunity. They gotta go balls in. Because next season they’ll combine for 18 mil easily.

They can trade Lindgren but they better replace him with another left handed defenseman who can play over 1500 minutes a year

The thing with Lindgren is he’s probably not a top pair guy but they haven’t had anyone who is really (left side). Maaaaaaybe Mille can take that next step and be Fox’s partner and 55 and 4 can be more of the shutdown pair.

Breaking up the Fox Lindgren may be on the horizon. Just for the size aspect, they were exposed vs Florida. Granted they were banged up so that didn’t help

End of the day, his body just won’t hold up much longer. He’s constantly banged up and hurt. Love what he brings and the heart he has when he’s out there, but he’s just not big enough for his style of play.

That’s why I say move him down. Maybe a few minutes less a game we’ll help. I just don’t think they trade him. Because he isn’t going to be very expensive at all. We still to need to replace him too whoever that is could be more on the cap

I’d say that’s max yea. On cf I usually do 4x4-4.25. But that isn’t bad at all for second pair guy.

I think there is ALOT of loyalty from the org towards Lindgren, vice versa too.

Hes a glue guy which important. They already lost a glue guy in goodrow. Before you know it we’re out of glue

I think most people would keep Lindgren if it’s 3 years or less and not on the top pair. But that would require replacing him and trading trouba imo.

Loyalty only gets you so far. Unfortunately if he’s always hurt come playoff time, that’s not a recipe for success.

Supposedly WPG wants to trade McGroraty. RW that had a good college season but wants to go back this year to college. Also rumors he doesn’t want to sign in WPG.

Would you guys trade Kakko for him? Lindgren and 30 OA? Maybe be able to join a playoff push late in the season.

My guess is he wants to go back to college because he doesn’t want to play in WPG. I’d probably do either one of those trades. He’s good
