My guess is he wants to go back to college because he doesn’t want to play in WPG. I’d probably do either one of those trades. He’s good - picklerick
Confirmed good. Confirmed a RW.
Stanley McGroarty
Kakko Lindgren
Use the money and get Colton to be the 3C. 3 years left at $4 million.

I could get down with Colton I saw his name floated around in rumors.
Idk about Stanley, he seems like the epitome of a traffic cone on skates |

Ya supposedly they’re trying to move him. They got him for a 2nd, he makes 400k more than Goodrow did but much better offensively |

He has a point. Can you be competitive with a $12 million goalie? I’m split on this one. No doubt he’s one of the best in the game, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t explore what’s out there also ……. If the price isn’t right I guess you give him the $12 million. But if someone is offering a decent amount for him, I think it has to be considered. |

Think he has to be contracted under 10% of the cap. The way to win in this league is a top 10 team 5v5 offensively and defensively. Rangers have the specials and goalie. Not enough to be avg for a long cup run unless you catch lightning in a bottle |

If you are using that 10 percent formula then he would get a contract around 8.8. Id have him sign that on the line. But then you have players making more than him in Fox, Panarin. Then you have him making a hair more than Mika.
I highly doubt his agent would even think about signing that contract. |

He’s not on Bedard’s level. He’ll be a very good player, but he’s not Bedard |

Would love him $9.5m. Another reason trouba can’t be on this team if they want to pay Igor and add a quality player

Got to figure if Trouba is gonna be traded, has to happen in the next 5 days prior to the draft
We should know soon either way |

Can it?
He has a full NMC until this coming season. Doesn't that start on July 1? Or, maybe 48 hours after the Cup is won? |

Maybe its July 1st then. My point was they can't have his contract on the books when free agency starts if they want to make certain moves. Either way should have a better idea by end of the week |

Pretty sure you can go over the cap until a certain date much later in the offseason |

Problem is that puts Drury at a disadvantage to then move salary. If they are 10% over teams aren't going to make it easy for Drury in trades to get under the cap. Would rather not go that route. |

If he can dump Trouba without buying him out I'll change it.
I would also settle for them moving on from Lindgren (I don't want to but it's the right choice). - JRR1285
Unless chatgpt is wrong - Lindgren has only missed 8 regular season games since 2019. Always hurt but always plays.
