I dont think he actually went to Vegas on draft night, but on draft night it was intense thinking it was gonna happen on the floor and the Rangers at one point were thought to have done it

edit: yeah he didn't get traded until November that year

How are you using him? The $ work but then you have to add someone else. Is he your third line center because that's right now where he fits unless you try him at wing?

I think people always remember Zegras grew up a Ranger fan and that if we didn't move up to 2nd in 2019 lottery, we probably would have stayed at 9th overall and taken him

I'm seeing you proposed trade from the Ducks including the 30th overall pick for Lafreniere and pointing out we already have the 30th overall pick

How are you using him? The $ work but then you have to add someone else. Is he your third line center because that's right now where he fits unless you try him at wing?

I would essentially use him as Chytil's replacement. More productive and not a hit away from a possible career ending concussion. It would be an upgrade IMO, but I think there are better ways to fill out this roster

I dont think the Rangers do that unless its into the top 5.

To take a young, serviceable, at least 3rd liner and trade him for a pick doesnt fit the Win now model the Rangers are in. If he is traded, IMO it is for another roster player.
