Ditching Goodrow was fantastic to see after taking a break.
Moving on from Kakkp would be so dumb. I will die on this hill. - JRR1285
basically in the same boat, just if they do trade him it better be part of something bigger/worthwhile. don't want him traded just for the sake of trading him.
Thank you Tom but I dont have much hope for this core group, they arent playoff performers.
The Rangers just waived a player who almost had just as many goals as Panarin and Mika COMBINED!!
Until this team drives 5v5 play, as I have said in the past, Im not going to have much hope for a Cup. - Brukie
There's a lot of Hockey 101 missing from many players that prefer to skill their way for points rather than grit their way there.
Example...Rangers have far too few players that take the body. Dump-and-chase...if you do this, you need to either beat the defender to the puck or make them pay for getting there before you and not just "awe shucks" your way back to the bench.
Puck cycling...This is effective way to control the play and create a scoring chance. However, this team doesn't understand that you will eventually need to get the puck towards the net and not just skate in circles and then have the puck poked off your stick and exit the zone.
East-West in the D or neutral zones?!? What the fvck?!?

Kakko's a weird one for me, I think he "could" be a better Vesey. Basically a really good 3rd liner who can move up the lineup if needed. If they could package him for a legit 1st liner, I'd be ok with it.

I feel Kakko himself would appreciate a change of scenery and the feeling is pretty mutual

Accept him as a Jesper Fast replacement. If you do, you'd have no issue keeping him.
why are the analytics guys suddenly crying so much about him being gone - jimbro83
You're still not understanding it.
Goodrow did and still does stink. How that deal for him went down (waivers) was not kosher in terms of labor standpoint. Drury should have never signed him. Drury losing him for nothing is hysterical for me considering how much drury valued him. (Remember, traded a pick for his rights, 6 year deal, more money than he was worth and partial NTC). None of that was good anybody. Drury is lucky to get from that hole.... of his own making.
On top of that he screwed Goodrow on the back, but that's the power machine baby. On and on it goes.

I wish you, MDW, JRR, Brukie, nyrangers2, mtca66, (I think his name is Cody). I hope the Rangers win soon for you. Seriously that group deserves it. For me, I'm a lost cause. - blacksheep1
I’m honored to not be on this list. Feel bad for JRR and MDW
I'd keep Kakko as a last chance "prove it" year UNLESS he can be an add in to move on from Trouba's god awful contract. In that case I wouldn't think twice about sending him out.

I wonder if Jones has a chance next year? I personally wasn't a fan at first, but after watching him play, the dude can break a forecheck on his own with his speed and puck handling.
