That’s exactly what I got Z pegged at. The extra year of term is the key. - Nighthawk
He will take that I bet. I'm happy with that. We could prob keep lindy and get a decent dman on the back or go Jake G and hope for the best on the back
Or go mid de and take a flyer on an aging vet like toffoli or Zucker or whoever

Yes please, although Canucks would have to retain and add a sweetener.
Be nice if they dumped Hronek as well, both Pouty and Hronek have a history of only being able to play at a decent level for half a season. - Reubenkincade
Those guys are on the team for the next 8 seasons. The idea is to surround them with complimentary talent ( bigger dudes ) because Hughes is also a long term player.
Some of it is draftable, the rest will have to be filled through free agency and trades.
They have 17.5 mil left. Guentz at 9, Z at.. 5.5? Leaves 3 left which ya doesn’t seem like enough to round out the roster. - NewYorkNuck
Don't forget Allvin was name checking some guys from Abby. It wouldn't surprise me to see them swing big on Guentzel and then use guys like Lekkerimaki, Bains, McWard, etc. to fill in the rest of the spots

This was the first time either one of them has ever played a playoff game in the NHL. Petey won the MVP in the SHL playoffs
This being their first year playing into the postseason, they'll learn and grow from it

Lekkerimak isn’t close. I could see Sasson making it
The Canucks need an elite winger. It’s that simple really. He is the only free agent target that works. If they can’t get him it will be a trade which would extremely painful

If Reinhart leaves Florida he's another option but he will likely get a massive overpay

Man that dude scares me. Unlike JG, he is wildly inconsistent. He also got slapped around a fair bit in the playoffs. If he wants to come home for a discount then maybe
