Why would Skinner pass up thee opportunity to cash in in on the BO then double down with a 3x$6m contract?
Would you?
Then there is your answer.
His Agent has big balls and uses them well. - IonSabres
Yeah, made this point the other day. He stands to make much more with a BO and a new contract. 2.44M for 3 years is his minimum contract to break even and that should be simple to break

I would still pursue McGroarty and see if Winnegeg has come off their initial asking price for him. Everything I was reading up until the draft was the Jets wanted a 1,2,and 3 for him… which seems high. I would have easily used our 14 pick plus whatever else was needed… within reason - Cory1
Sounds to me like McG is just the type of player we need. Then got me wondering if Kulich is our version of him |

Yes. However the '24-1st was supposedly his biggest asset to acquire a Top 6 player.
That Trade for a viable F56 player is crucial to turning the tide for FA's to at least consider Sabres.

The 14th OA pick in this draft you would think is more valuable than a 2025 First but wtf do I know apparently.

Does John Marino for Henri Jokiharju straight up make any sense? Even adding a pick?

Like I said, no trade asset was worth any firsts, whether that was a high 1st more valuable than a player or a low first less valuable than a player.
Hope to see today if 2s and 3s mean anything today.

Lot of RHD there, also I know you meant Nemec and not Necas.
Perhaps a Ryan Johnson and a sweetener for Marino makes sense |

Pegula is willing to spend. That isn’t an issue
It’s Adams pulling the trigger. It’s crazy to me that the Sabres have like 1 GM and 4 assistant GMs and not 1 of the 4 assistant GMs can step up and say “hey we should accept this” - Sabretooth9

Yes that's why those players get traded at the TDL for 1st with a month left instead |

I mean he tried a couple times.
Tim Murray and botts were the “best up and coming gms”
Botts came from the pens who were winning cups
Then Adams. Who he trained had him work around the team and then made him gm |

The first-round of the NHL Draft has come to an end and not a single team congratulated the Florida Panthers on their Stanley Cup win.
Can’t remember the last time that happened, usually multiple teams give a shoutout to the winner.
lol.. the last year where all these cucks go on stage and they fire the bird at telling another team that theyre awesome. and as such, the copycat league takes their cue from griersy to ignore the cup winner. |

Does Skinner have 6 mill speed though? That's the real question. Maybe hes just not fast enough to justify the contract. |

Who cares, we trying to make the playoffs. You have the year to get him to sign. Show him he isn't the only move your gonna make, maybe them coming and players hearing this they might say YES to. |

Actions speak louder than words.
If nobody is moving players for picks, a shrewd move would be using 42/43 to acquire future draft picks in order to move them come deadline time when there is more of an appetite for those picks.
