He could’ve made a trade that we overpaid and had no fear of losing his job or anything like that

Okposo knows what it's like to win in the playoffs now, he'd be a great pickup for our young core. Just the kind of leadership this team has been lacking since March.

He has two choices this summer to change that going forward.

Trade for players that don't have clauses, even if they are "plan Bs and Cs".

Overpay for decent free agents.

Until they start winning, players not waving is going to be an issue.

At this point I'm kind of hoping for more prospects. Keep the pool stocked for the next GM so he doesn't have to start from zero.

Gerbe thinks there's a 3 team trade going down between Totonto, Utah and Buffalo. Marner to Utah, Keller to Buffalo, it's going to be wild.
