“The Blues finished the regular season with 99 points, one behind Central Division champion Nashville and the same as the Winnipeg Jets, whom St. Louis would face in the first round of the playoffs”
Those Blues ? Not to mention the (frank)ing heater they had to go on since they were dead last 37 games into the season. - Swedish_Jesus

I pray the Sabres end the drought so everyone on here can figure out how to use both sides of their brain again man Jesus Josie.
Can’t tell what’s worse, the 13 year drought or the state of this blog.
Sabres Facebook might give this place a run at this point |

Yeah, the general manager who is on his third coach and in his 5th year with no playoff appearances has it all figured out. We're the morons |

You must be new here, LOL.
With all the allusions over the last 4 years to bald men, bbq, boats and "conversations", half the posters on here are wishing they could sign up for an all-male, adults-only ocean cruise, with Rob Halford, Ru Paul and Boy George as the "entertainment". I can already hear the cackles coming from the pickleball court.
Redundant does not nearly describe what goes on here every day.
btw, what's the over/under on how many times 12/25/24 gets mentioned from now until Xmas? In just a few months, it has been mentioned at least 125 times, so I'm gonna say 350 more. - LandlordTom

Build a top 5 roster in the sport and you have a chance.
This whole fallacy that just getting in you can go places is false.
And don’t give me this “Florida went deep” the year prior because they were a top 3 team in the Atlantic that had everything go wrong for them the first half of the year with injuries and finishing luck. - Swedish_Jesus
I literally don't care if the Sabres make the playoffs and get outscored 24-0. Just fücking get the monkey off your back already |

The Sabres very well could be aggressive this offseason and they probably will end the drought this year … but nothing about this rebuild or Adams tenure has been the least bit impressive. He’s sucked so far. There’s no argument to the contrary. |

They are a 20-game Tage injury away from being a lottery team unless KA aims higher than Scott Laughton |

I personally think some things are going to gel at the right time for us next year.
However that doesn’t make anything that’s happened impressive
Adams walked into this rebuild with Dahlin, Tage, Cozens, Skinner etc already in the system
It’s comical how long it’s taking to simply make the playoffs |

Was that when you were in Buffalo and growing up a Sabres fan? I now have lived in Philly for more than I lived in Buffalo. Can't imagine switching my allegiance and pretending to be the #1 Eagles and Flyers fan. Seems like something a total fraud of a fan would do. |

I think one could write a short book on it, what could have been done. But if you start the discussion with the "the reset needed to happen.. Jack Sam Risto etc" then you're left with, well, he did ok considering the circumstances up until last off-season. Then it became a massive blunder. And that's the worst part of it. He had a pretty decent team that clearly needed the 'this year' treatment and he just fumbled the bag unequivocally. |

That skips to year 2. I'd still love to know what he was thinking year 1. That's where he made some costly miscalculations.
