Yeah, the general manager who is on his third coach and in his 5th year with no playoff appearances has it all figured out. We're the morons - Hank Balling
So if Tuch stays onside and the Sabres make the playoffs that year it miraculously changes the outlook of everything ?
Does Washington’s playoff appearance this year mean anything in the grand scheme of things moving forward ?
In terms of U23 talent there are very few teams in the league that boast the caliber of talent the Sabres do.
Was there a lot of suffering involved ? Absolutely.
Everything was trending the right way until they laid an egg this season. Donnie out (which may be the biggest blessing in disguise) Ruff in, and Adams’ plan is now in sports mode despite the angst of fans wanting it to come sooner.

Does Bobrovsky get his ring or was it too expensive with his contract being $10 million? Does Florida have to have an asterisk next to this win? |

I personally think some things are going to gel at the right time for us next year.
However that doesn’t make anything that’s happened impressive
Adams walked into this rebuild with Dahlin, Tage, Cozens, Skinner etc already in the system
It’s comical how long it’s taking to simply make the playoffs - sbroads24
Half the league makes the playoffs, only a handful of teams truly have a chance of winning it each year.
If it’s such an embarrassment to miss the playoffs, why is it so much of an accomplishment just to squeak in ?
We didn’t wait 13 years and tank just to be a first round doormat.
Does that excuse Adams from making the wrong UFA signings to get this team to break the drought ? Absolutely not.
But there is a clear method behind everything he has done and despite the lack of immediate results there are a lot of positives that will show over the course of the next few seasons.

This is some crazy thinking. It’s not that it’s an accomplishment to sneak in. It’s completely sad that over the course of 13 seasons they couldn’t cobble together some sort of team to be better than half the teams. It’s down right embarrassing. Throw in that during that stretch 4 of the teams “key” players get traded away and win a cup almost immediately.
They tanked got players traded them away and then ranked again then traded them away then tanked again. It’s embarrassing. |

Adams wasted 2 years of this team's time by sitting on his hands - that's just a fact. They needed a goalie 2 years ago and they needed another top-4 d man both years. He's chronically late to the party every time. |

And due to that he lost 2 great players. If he can’t do something this summer when does dahlin and tage request a trade? They keep wasting good players by not building a team. The gms have not done their job.
Edit: maybe 3 if you count ullmark |

Would it have made you feel better if the Sabres traded Eichel, Reinhart, or ROR for less of a return if it meant them going to meddling teams and not winning a cup ?
We backed ourselves into a corner and 90% of the damage was done prior to Adams taking the job.
I’m happy we got Tuch ++ in the Eichel deal and not the cum bucket the Rangers were offering us.
Reinhart was dealt for Levi and a 1st in the same offseason Buchnevich was traded for a second rounder and Bjorkstrand went for a 4th.
ROR got a ring, we got a viable 1C in Tage who will be here the next 7 years.
Go take a crap on Terry’s lawn for being the most inept owner in the league. |

His excuse is always nobody likes us, so we don't want people who don't want to be here.
Yet another convenient excuse.
Not doing more to help the team during the multi-player career year was criminal. |

That’s not Kevyn Adams fault though.
He’s like the bestest thing ever to be the best.
Like when you say Kevyn Adams, it’s basically like saying the name Michale Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Scott. |

Was that when you were in Buffalo and growing up a Sabres fan? I now have lived in Philly for more than I lived in Buffalo. Can't imagine switching my allegiance and pretending to be the #1 Eagles and Flyers fan. Seems like something a total fraud of a fan would do. - Hatboro_Swords
Fück the Flyers, but the Eagles are cool insofar as they're the only NFC East team to not beat the Bills in a Super Bowl |
