Theres actually been quite a few trades in the past week or so.

It feels like the GMs got tired of the bs with the draft coming up and told the league to hell with waiting.

I’m a believer that he’s the most talented player since 99 - but man that’s classless. You go out and be a man and get the trophy. It’s an honour to be in the league and win a trophy like that.

Maurice's post game comments were heartfelt and touching. I have one very good friend who's an Oiler fan (punk ass kid from Newfoundland, but when he was about 8 years old, the Oilers were entering their dynasty) and another who was born and raised in Winnipeg. Maurice saying that if he had one wish it would be that the Jets win the next cup is something that will warm his heart!

I feel the same way - but isn't it only the 4th time a non-winning player has been awarded the Smythe? How many had to do it on the road - and did they go out in front of 19000 people and get the living poop booed out of them?

Edit: Above Aaron says it's the 6th, and I'll take his word for it.

This told me it was 6th. Interesting that 4 of the 6th were goalies.

Doesn’t matter man - he’s the ambassador for Oilers for the NHL. He needed to just get out there and take a pic. Do the right thing. Just looks weak and classless to me….too bad cause he is just so good and such a joy to watch. Just not good form. Not very hockey player of him.
