The "owner" of the "Coyotes" owns the "rights" to a franchise in Arizona. Much like Sony owns the "rights" to Spiderman or Fox owned the "rights" to Fantastic Four etc.

They lose the rights if they don't make any "moves" on it. So they have years to pretend they are looking for places and dropping out until somebody buys those rights back from them.

Expect McDavid to go a major heater next season.

The worst taste is losing in the finals. It motivated the Lightning and it obviously motivated the Panthers. McDavid doesn't seem like the type to enjoy that sour taste of losing the Cup when it was soooo close. He is going to be extra motivated next season.

Look...the Oilers had like 5 guys having Kucherov/Malkin/OV/Crosby/Kane etc. Conn Smythe offensive performances. They will need to do a lot to get the same out of them again, but the pieces for the most part will be there still.
