I love the inter-provincial hate amongst fan bases. It makes hockey great. They couldn't force themselves to ever cheer for the Leafs and I don't blame them.

I'm cheering Oilers tonight but only under the exceptional, once in a century, circumstance of watching Bennett and Tkachuk fail like no other has failed before.

It's one of the most overpriced garbage places you can go for food. It's fine if you just want to grab a beer or 10 and watch a game/fight though

We can blame Red Lobster for having birthed the entire casual chain dining industry. My hope is that if Red Lobster is destroyed it will be like beheading the master vampire and Boston Pizza, East Side Mario's and the rest will follow.

I believe SPC rules were maximum of 35% year-over-year variation where no single year can be less than 50% of the highest salary year.

So for instance you could pay out $5.5m, $3.75m, and then $2.75 in the final year - and that would have an AAV of 4. It wouldn't matter.

I'd still like it lower. It's probably not that realistic, but I mean over the next four years my guesstimate on JT's production is probably something like 25 goals year, and then it would trail like most slower guys in their mid-30s - something like 23, 18, 12 . . .that's using a 90%, 80%, 70% predictive model from the prior year's stats. Iginla followed a similar model but was a couple of years older. I mean in some of the aging models for some guys you see them plateau for a year, sometimes two, but it's far less common to see a real resurgence.

If you have a player who is potentially falling off a cliff - can you not find better value for that money? I expect the Leafs would be in a better position to make that decision at the end of the year and I doubt that they feel (or should feel) any urgency around making such a decision.

Moxie's, Milestones and Baton Rouge are overpriced.

East Side Mario's is a caloric nightmare.

I've never been to Crabby Joe's or Chuck's Roadhouse, but I imagine they would be exactly the same as Boston Pizza.

I haven't been to a Jack Astor's in 25 years.

Kelsey's is no better or worse than Boston Pizza. Same with Shoeless Joe's.

St. Louis Bar and Grill is good - especially to watch sports.

And the Keg is perfection.

Calgary will not deal with the Leafs for a few years unless the Leafs drastically over pay in a trade

I'm comparing the contracts in terms of value. You have goalies with 300-400 games of proven experience making what a guy with 45 career games is being offered.

How can you possibly justify Woll getting as much money as a proven veteran when he hasn't even played a single full, healthy season yet?

A contract like that is a disaster waiting to happen.

Woll deserves 1 year contracts until he can play a full NHL season without getting hurt. Then they can talk about giving him that kind of money and term.
