Okposo too. (not that he's their level but I have a lot of friends in Buffalo that are so beaten down it's almost sad)

Ullmark trade? Is this what was holding up the Flyers deal?

Haha that's true. Poor ole buffa slugs. Not to pile on but they were the worst team the Mcdavid draft as I remember and lost the lottery. Now Eichel is gone. They might be more cursed than we are which is saying something..

I wonder who they'll jettison next? Hopefully we can poach them on the cheap..

So would I.

That's why you make these moves. Move Laughton and Konecny. Maybe you move Farabee and Frost. You get pieces back to help build with but you also could put yourself in position to maybe get one of those guys as well.

as it sits, for me, only center they have who could play with MM is Frost, that could change.

They are still talking about missing out on McDavid. They also had some. big, slow ass defenseman that went on to win. a cup with Tampa.

Our group chat is pure gold.....

It's shocking to me that they have never been able to get it right.

their front office has been astonishingly bad. poor coaching hires and the Skinner signing was a bad move for starters.

If we go by late last year, Coots is on the 4th line or a scratch..

with all the news, just a reminder

While Torts did some good things, he poop the bed down the stretch, while his prior bad decisions caught up to him, with the cherry on top of playing Ryan P and the gang when they needed 1 goal in the worse way.

THE TANK IS ALIVE AND WELL.

But but but this board mocks buffalo for how they built team and tanked to draft players? Like I said the process was correct it was management that screwed it up

Congrats to Bob, Stolie and Zito.

https://www.espn.com/nhl/...tcher-new-general-manager

"At the conclusion of a rigorous review of GM candidates, Chuck Fletcher clearly stood out from the field of talented and capable executives we considered," Dave Scott, chairman and CEO of Comcast Spectacor and Flyers governor, said in a statement. "Chuck has earned success throughout his impressive NHL career and offers the right mix of expertise, business acumen and leadership qualities that the Flyers need today as we work to achieve our ultimate goal, the Stanley Cup championship."

Fletcher was previously the general manager of the Minnesota Wild for nine seasons before being relieved of his duties after last season. From 2012 through 2018, the Wild made the playoffs six consecutive seasons but never advanced past the second round.

Prior to the Flyers, he held also senior-level managerial and advisory positions with the New Jersey Devils, Pittsburgh Penguins, Anaheim Ducks and Florida Panthers. He was an assistant general manager with the Penguins when they won the Stanley Cup in 2009.

Fletcher was considered a heavy favorite for the Philadelphia job. Columbus assistant GM Bill Zito and Anaheim special assignment scout Dave Nonis, a former Toronto general manager, were also interviewed.

We could only hope to achieve their level of success through tanking. I'd say it's a cautionary tale.

Seeing him raise the Cup was a feel good moment for any hockey fan. He seems like one of the real good guys and has always been classy.

The Flyers traded more assets for Risto than the Panthers traded for Reinhart, and he just scored the Cup winning goal.

So is EF saying the Ottawa deal is likely dead? And it has something to do with TKs contract? Anyone know ?

Briere could flip the script if he moves him there instead of resigning. TK has played in Ottawa , makes sense.

You don’t even know who corky is. If you had any kind of personality, you wouldn’t copy others…

I’m not gonna focus on your weird online vendetta’s. I’m gonna focus on your argument of calling me or anyone else a bozo. I felt like McDavid no show and got rewarded for it. It’s the Jordan be LeBron debate. Biggest game of his career, McDavid goes pointless in his last two games of the Stanley Cup final. The entire Oilers team shutout in game 1. I thought McDavid no showed….
