No thanks. I will stick with Sanheim. That is a major overpay for an unknown. Sanheim is not overpaid. He is slotted incorrectly b/c the lack of depth.
- Flyfly

Sanheim for McG and a some sort of pick. I would 100% do that. Assuming McG would agree to sign with the Flyers.

Clearing up the cap should be a priority for the Flyers. Getting two assets while getting out of Sanheim's deal would be amazing. I do not see this happening though. A man can dream though.

depending on what comes back to the Flyers I would listen. I think Sanheim gets far too much sh*t from the fans. He is a good player on a decent contract that is just slotted too high b/c the lack of depth.

Don’t know much about the prospect, does he grade out to be a legit 2C?

My expectations knowing how this franchise operates and never fundamentally changes is this:

TK is resigned. I know, it makes no sense. I agree. But “he’s a Flyer” is all it takes in this city.

Flyers move up a few spots and grab Tij. They’ll sell name recognition hard and push the kid back to playing Center despite him being better suited on the wing.

The Panthers pick gets traded for a bridge Center. I’m not saying it will be Giroux but it wouldn’t shock me one bit. Whatever way he feels about the organization comes 2nd to his close ties to Briere. If not him some other vet they can use for a couple years while they draft and develop the position.

- hereticpride

once they buy out cal and cam they sign lindholm for 10 per....

yes cc back would be 100% shocking.

I am fine with Sanheim. He is healthy and plays heavy minutes. To me the cap flexibility would be too good to pass up. I am not picking on him.

He was the 14th pick and was the captain of the US WJC team. That's about all I know.

Also, his name is Rutger

I am sorry Bill but fletchers tenure was an abject failure. If saying he got a two-time 20-goal scorer and the 32 overall pick for Giroux is successful, you are carrying water for comcast. Love how you declined to mention the travesties that occured:

Stolarz for Talbot

a 2nd and a 3rd for Braun

Hiring av

Hayes signing

Getting rid of ghost and including picks cause the coach did not like him - then firing said coach

the trade for rr - and then doubling down be extending him

Trading thompson then resigning him

The tony d trade - more assets given up for a player who did not fit

Getting nothing for Ratcliffe

The trade app

Nothing for JVR

The influence of clarke was all over this hire - the good ole boys have once again screwed over the franchise 8 ways to Sunday

Are we talking in the context of trading for McGoarty? If so then I would not... most analysts thing his top end is a 2c and most believe he is a winger in the NHL.

He is most likely going to play wing in the NHL as well. If I am making a trade I want a true center.

you dont want to trade for Rutger because he is an unknown. Well all picks are an unknown so you're against trading players for picks?

Loaded answer here: this year I probably would not. Next year in a much deeper draft? Possibly.

If he is going to be a winger I would rather look for a true pivot. I am in no way against trading players for picks. I look at every trade separately - if his ceiling is a 2C I would have to listen, but again, it seems most think he is not going to play center in the NHL. Some questions around his skating as well.

For his career, Torts has a track record of 742 wins, 612 losses, 37 ties and 156 overtime/shootout losses. That's 26 more losses than wins.

So why does a 66 year old coach with a losing record get so much input on a team that claims to be rebuilding?

- Feanor

How much input is he getting? You tell us. You just claimed he’s a dictator. Back up your statement.

Using the word dictator is just a trendy thing to say now.
