I did a quick look. I'd say Jarry has the best stats. But some of them had great years. The thing with Jarry is this was his worst year and he was just slightly below average. The guys you mentioned have had bad years mixed in with good ones. So it's a gamble, but I understand wanting to get out of his contract or just being tired of him not helping down the stretch. - Tojo.
He wasn't given a chance last season down the stretch, even when in Ned's last 5 starts was 3.98 GA and .867 SV% haha |

My position on Jarry is the same as with most of the players on the team. The Pens missed the playoffs the last 2 years. Other than the core guys with NMCs they need to consider any trade offer for any player(s) where they view the value coming back as greater than the value going out (in the context of where they are now and plan to be in the next few years, hence considering cap hits, draft capital, etc, not just on-ice).
Jarry is talented but inconsistent, and his contract isn't ideal. There's a risk in moving him because they'd have to find another goalie who may do worse, but if somebody makes an offer for Jarry that is a net positive for the Pens, they have to take it. Same goes for Smith, Rak, Eller, POJ, Acciari, etc. The only guy I'd cap dump is Graves (and an acceptable route there is almost certainly not going to be found), but everybody else who doesn't have a NMC should be in principle on the table for the right offer (but not moved just for the sake of getting rid of them).
Will they get a good offer for Jarry? I have no idea, probably not, but it wouldn't be shocking if they did. |

I'd do it.
What an emotional rollercoaster that trade would be for Grinder hahaha...both Gudas and Zegras coming to the Pens

I don't know why but I just cant stand Zegras. Switch him with Vatrano 1/2 retained and let us keep Pickering. |

Can Gudas play the left side? We're set at RD. Zegras would give Grinder somebody to complain about. |

I just think he is one of the more overrated players in the league. He does have some serious puck skills but that doesnt take you super far if you suck at every other part of the game. He is a center who wins 40% of his faceoffs and plays no defence. He is also super soft and a guy who is going to disappear when games get tight.
There is a reason Anaheim is openly shopping him. |

Notice how everyone is telling you it’s bad? - Feds91Stammer
I don't accept comments on that board. If you guys here want to rip me, fine because as much as I disagree with you a lot of the time I enjoy the banter. But the only bad deal there is the Columbus one, and if I would have made that 2nd a 1st, every Pens fan would have argued its paying too much. The Ducks should beg for that deal.
Anyway, I don't care about all of the bits and pieces of picks/prospects it would take to get it done. I am saying that those players are all available, I would like to get them and there is a way to fit them under the cap.
So if I get that roster and our 1st next year, Pickering and Ponomorev are all gone I could care less. Jager is my only untouchable. |

Rumor is that he is on his way to help blow up the next superstar's team in Chicago....
Draisaitl situation needs resolved and Hollands biggest bust signing (Nurse) needs to get moved... Holland says peace out... lol. |

I know you're constantly on about him leaving Edmonton but pretty much every insider up here doesn't think that will be the case and FWIW he said (after cup loss)he loves playing for Edmonton and with Connor, where he wants to be. If he resigns with Edmonton will it be enough for you to STFU about players not wanting to play in Canada? |

I'm confused as to why you want me to STFU on the topic as I have never specifically raised it, and have joined in the conversation on it like once ever.
I haven't been constantly on about him leaving Edmonton at all. I think it is more than likely than not that he stays there. What I have said is Edmonton likely will end up paying over market value to retain him and will not get a discount. And the point I made here is that Edmonton is in a tough spot with the salary cap and finding a way to have everyone fit. |

Dude, you've brought up both Draisaitl leaving Edmonton/not going to want to stay and the hockey players playing in Canada thing here many times the past year or so, especially the Draisaitl sh!t but even further back about the Canada sh!t.
The other day you were tying your best to push that players don't want to play in Canada narrative as much as you could then didn't even respond to my response that basically showed your ideas about it are sh!t and apply to USA and players in USA as well. I get it, you hate your country, you think its a horrible place and you'll use anything, such as overblown narratives about hockey players, to justify it.

Are you ok man? I like you Matt, you are just really fired up here over nothing, lol.
I don't recall ever saying much about Draisaitl, I had always assumed he would just be resigned immediately but as we get closer to the offseason it has become a topic. I must have missed your post, but anyway, facts are facts. No players are taking discounts to come to Canada, players are taking less money to go to the US.
I think Canada has gone off the rails a bit lately, but so have places like California that would otherwise be great to live. I've never said I hate Canada nor did I say it is a horrible place, I do find myself wondering if life would be more enjoyable living somewhere a bit warmer, where I get to keep more of the money I earn. Its not a reach to think hockey players probably feel the same way.
So if you hate this topic, just drop it because I made no reference to it earlier. |

Pretty sure you're the guy with at least a bit of insider knowledge...if so, have any tid bits from around the league for the coming week or so? if its not you, my apologies but the username is definitely similar. Doesn't have to be strictly Pens related... - MattStrat
I’m at the sphere right now for the draft tomorrow! This place is pretty fucckin sweet!
If I learned anything from my first draft last year it’s that there are a million rumours and talks going on at all times so impossible to figure out how close things actually get.
1 player the pens will be in on is Domi. Also he is 1 player I can personally guarantee would want to sign with the pens.
There have been talks about Jarry, Rak and Graves |

I mentioned it last year his agent reached out to the pens but his agent told them he would sign for 3 years at 3.5 mill and they were told more or less they wanted to go a defensive route. Which they ended up doing. |

Domi would be a nice add, would probably come fairly cheap. Didnt realize how little ice time the Leafs gave him. He played less than 14 mins per night. He doesnt score much but would be a nice LW for Geno and Laine
Being able to run out Bunting and Domi on shifts after each other would be really annoying for other teams to play against! |
