It’s for Demidov. Like I said earlier.
- Just5

I'm all about Demidov. However, Briere's presser sure seemed like he was tipping his hand they want a center. If both are available @ 4, think it will Lindstrom.

Good for Danny not budging for their own first.

Yea I don’t see the deal that close. Colorados pick vs ours with few protections is a gap

I’m not sure they have a hand to be tipped. Unfortunately everyone knows they badly need a center and CBJ will probably squeeze everything they can out of it.

I mean, at least he's a LEFT wing, and MM is a friend plus he's complimented him publicly. He'd be happy.

but damn that'll leave the center position hurting. I'd lean Lindstrom if I were a betting man.

In other news...

I really like Jellyfin as a replacement interface for my media server. Great UI, filters, collections and really easy to set up.

Now I officially am better than all streaming services for $0/month.

If Flyers have such urgency to pick top 5 why hire a coach that would surely prohibit that?
- StepfordSam

It's so dumb that they're pumping additional draft capital into moving up during a rebuild instead of just earning the higher pick outright.

(But it's also the most Flyers thing ever)

My god, can you imagine if Demidov and MM were not only on the team, but their two biggest players?

Ed will roll over in his grave.

However, he would totally approve of the wheelin n dealin

Take off the lotto protection and make it idk, top 8 protected. Seems more than fair.

We’re talking about them moving back 8 spots in this draft. A roster player like Farabee and mid round 1st is a very nice return for that.

Next years draft will be better. Don’t like the idea of blowing next year’s draft capital unless Briere has a plan to replace it the pick.

I know imagine if they just finished in the bottom 7, where they should be anyway, and used these assets they want to move to get other useful assets along with the player they want to draft.

Ha seriously. But with all due respect he can’t spin anymore than what these last few years would’ve put him through.

100% agree but it’s a choice they’ve made themselves.

They always seem to end up in this situation with a team trying to fleece them just before the draft. Just lose the games.

It's not like Mr. Snider would allow the Flyers to bottom out to draft a superstar anyway....

Would it really be any different? More passion, probably, but no different.

Well, they do have 2 1sts and 2 2nds next season. Plus a TK to deal. They'd still be alright if they feel their man is at 4 this season.

Well, if the consensus is the team is lacking elite talent, position should not matter in this case.

So Demidov could be the pick. Long ago, Flyers picked Mike Ricci and passed on Jagr.

Waddell has inherited a team that has drafted 3 centers in the top 12 over the last 3 drafts. Also, CLB does not have a lot of extra picks over the next few seasons. If he does not view Lindstrom and Demidov as no doubt elite, he could move. Also, who below CLB and between the Flyers has the desire to move up? Maybe the Flames, any other team?

I could see San Jose still trying to climb higher or Chicago. SJ still has 2 2nds and some prospects I could see them dealing to move higher, Chicago has tons of picks the next 3 drafts to use.

Either team getting 2 top 5 picks with the prospects they have could be enticing to them.

Certainly a possibility, but at the start of the draft process there was a supposed talent drop off after 12 prospects. Maybe Waddell still believes that premise.

That team is super old and a pile of Flyers. I like Zary and Coronato, but everything about that team is San Jose 2 years ago.

They need to dump Kuzmenko and Sharangovich for some assets. They really are Hot Flyers.

Gotta think they are trying to move Huberdeau and Kadri too at this point. They have to be the odds on favorite to pick 1st overall next year. I haven’t even heard of some of their D men.

Odds favorite for the next 2 drafts...they want either Hagens or McKenna, their moves are showing it.

They just traded with Buffalo today to get up to 11 with their 2nd pick. You think they wanna do it again?

They need a lot of help.
