hawk tuahing?

Sorry couldn't let that one go.

Projectable frame, 84 kilos for someone who turns 18 in a month is pretty solid. He should be able to put on another 5-10 in the next 2 years at providence where it he'll be a true freshman and I think that is one of those colleges where you can't get away with not doing the school work meaning the kid is probably not a moron and should have some sense on the ice.

Hopefully he'll be doing commercials for Johnnie's Beef talking about mustard only on the sasage
Nice touch with the hawk tuah

Eiserman is a great goal scorer, and would look amazing on Bedard's wing, but the rest of his game needs work.
- tvetter

There is obviously something that does not endear him to the scouts.

Not only did he drop to #20 in the draft, he was cut from the 2024 WJC team when he was was initially projected to be the cornerstone.

All of these guys "need work" in one phase or another. But to cut a "great goal scorer"?

There was something else in play here.

I hot a good chuckle out of this one

On ESPN's NHL Draft coverage last night, John Buccigross lobbied for the Red Wings to take Cole Eiserman, then said "Another year of missing the playoffs" twice (near the end of this clip) after they instead drafted Michael Brandsegg-Nygärd.

AJ Spellacy, who played free safety, brings the same football-esque speed and physicality to hockey. He said his NHL role model is Tom Wilson.

"If you play that hard way, you get in their head. If they're scared of you, they're not going to do their best against you."

Qualifying offers due today. Will the Hawks let Phillips, Crevier, Roos, Anderson, Raddysh, Entwistle walk?

Doneghey: "Kyle says it, and I'm a believer in it — you can get size in free agency and trades. We have traits that we look for, and we're not going to go against those traits to reach for a guy just because he's a few inches taller."

I hope they sign Anderson and Lafferty today. KD wants speed and compete level. That’s them.

The way I see it, if they have another bad season and draft in the 4-10 range next season they are probably drafting a fwd,BUT,they are probably going to have to wait a year for that fwd to play in the NHL. So that is this season+next season without any help for 98. If they drafted Demidov this year, he most likely comes in for the last 8-10 games of next season+ you'll have him the season after.
I just thought if they are going to have a high pick or two,it is better to try and surround 98 with some talented fwds sooner.
I know they can sign someone this season to play with 98,but I'm not betting on anything with Kyle's comments from the other day.
Next year's FA class as of right now- Crosby,Rantanen,Marner,Draisaitl,Boeser,Tavares,Konecny,Ehlers- just to name a few
Wonder how many will actually change teams.

If Kyle is going to improve his team he's going to have to find a Sharp,Reinhart,Ladd type or two via tradesl

I think they will sign 1-2 players just not marque names. TT might be a possibility but I think he will be in demand and given his age sign for longer term and more money than KD is willing to give. (Would love TT on top line w/Hall and Bedard. And then sign Dumba as RD).

Think we will see someone like Stephenson or Henrique for 2C and maybe a Jason zucker.

Do not expect anything major.

Phillips for sure because he has value. I would like another look at Crevier for at least a year because of his size. The other guys are just placeholders easily replaceable through waiver wire claims. I would keep Blackwell over them for his compete level.

Would any of them need to go through waivers this season?

The #Canes have acquired a 2025 3rd round pick from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for Jake Guentzel.

According to cap friendly , Crevier and Roos are the only ones who are waiver exempt. The rest would need to clear waivers.

Have to imagine theyre going to make the income tax pitch but it's probably still going to be money and term that only a desperate team will offer.

I can't imagine him taking less than 7.5 million and if thats stretched over 8 years then there's not a whole lot Kyle and team can bring to the table to entice him over nor should they.

I think if it was like 8.5 or 9 million for 4 years you could sell me on it. But I think getting into that 5-8 range on a guy with injury history after 30 it gets a little desperate and in that interview someone posted form Danny the other day they certainly don't see themselves as desperate.

I guess no one questions how Guentzel will fare without Crosby anymore.

Briesbrois is the original Vegas Vegas the moves he has done since taking over from Stevie Y

Hawks are still in the rebuilding stage, and hopefully next year they will becoming out of the rebuilding stage and onto the next stage challenging for a playoff spot.

Like trading Sergachev? So you trade for 35 year old McDonaugh and trade away a soon to be 27 year old? Make it make sense, it's great he was able to put the final pieces together to win 2 cups in a row, but holy poop his moves to me the last couple of years have been terrible.

Told #CBJ will place D Adam Boqvist on waivers later today. If he clears, the Blue Jackets will buy out the final year of his contract.

Kyle better stay away from him

I didn't get those moves either.
They probably could have had Stamkos at 4.5-5
And then sign another solid forward for 3.5-4
Now they'll give all that $$$ to Guentzel

I actually thought with the right moves Tampa could revamp on the fly. Maybe I'm just nuts and these are the good moves.
They still have Kucherov,Hagel,Point,Cirelli and now probably adding Guentzel to that. I wonder who else they'll try trade/sign

Maybe Tampa has concerns about how his injuries will affect his play?
