I’d really like Colton to get added somehow. Keeping Chytil or not moving him to the wing, kinda ends that.
- nyrangers9479

Colton's a local kid too, right? He would be a nice fit for that 3C with Cuylle and either Kakko or Othmann. I could definitely get behind this

It shouldn’t be that everyone, including the writer of this blog should have to ignore 1 troll.

I read he’s available but they dont want any salary coming back, so I’d assume prospects or picks. So it’s possible. Colton is definitely the kind of player people have been clamoring for

Cuylle Colton Othmann could be a 3rd line that hits, plays physical, helps score some goals and be a perfect 3rd line for the playoffs. That’s the exact type of 3rd line I think we need.

Everyone on here knows I’m a big Chytil fan, but I think if we could get a 3rd line like the one I just described over a “scoring” 3rd line, (Colton is good for 40 or so pts), we go with the more physical line.

I like this more than trying to move up. More trade capital
- TPC

So you want to trade an NHL player for picks that have a 5 percent chance of making the NHL?? Better to just trade him for another NHL player

Just saying if we move Trouba would love Tyler Myers as a 3rd pair guy….price willing of course

He signed a three year deal Wednesday to stay in Vancouver, 3mil AAV

Sign me up. Do you think it's possible they keep Chytil and still target Colton? If what TJ said is true & we only need to sacrifice picks or a prospect for Colton, would you trade Berard/Sykora or a 2nd & maybe lesser prospect for him? Move Chytil to 1RW and have an insurance policy of another C in the lineup in case one goes down. Just a thought. But I also see the need for us to go get a bonafide top 6 RW

Colton makes $4M and is a bottom 6 center. Didn't we learn that lesson with Goodrow? Paying for these bottom 6 guys that have won a cup is an expensive endeavor that rarely works out. These teams win because they're paying these guys minimal salaries not $4M

Nah he’s better than goodrow by a mile. He’s only 27 I think 🤔

He wouldn’t cost a crazy amount in assets either. But if they have Chytil penciled in at center he’s probably unlikely

The odds of Chytil being able to handle the load of 3rd line center for any appreciative amount of time is short sighted. Sadly, he’s one hit away from oblivion.
- OLDSCHOOL#6

We dont know that, hopefully it's not the case.

Remember Crosby also has concussion issues early in his career and he overcame them.

So they should be doing anything they can to dump Chytil by this logic.

If he's the perfect 3rd line center at a bargain contract then why is Colorado, another contender, going to trade him?

He won a cup as a 4th line center making $700k

I think they’re (frank)ed is why lol they signed, or have to, mittlestadt and have oodles of players paid lots of money. That what I read anyway

But he’s a goodrow who can score more

Doesn't matter, if Drury wants to change the way this teams culture, Kakko, Chytil, Roslevic, Wrennberg, Miller all have to go. IMHO.
- OLDSCHOOL#6

Those are support players, the team culture is Trouba, Fox, Ck20, Mika and Panarin.

Only one moveable, which will be difficult, is Trouba. The rest all NMC.
