Depends on what Nashville needs and wants. Both not gonna break the bank capwise. Great AHL numbers. Untested NHL. Dont make it out to be Carey Price. Could just as easily be Kari Ramo.
- Roadrunner75

I’d bet that they could get more. Interesting though that Hildeby had pretty much identical numbers last year

I get it but still.
I was hoping they stay away from tanev.

It's a sad fact, that although Tanev is hardly a savior type, he's flat out the best defender we've had in the last 5 years+.
It puts into context how truly bad how blue line has been.

Agreed, but not really in the last 3 years. It's about time we got around to replacing him no?

I believe the underlying defensive numbers would disagree

Pretty sure 7 is the max years the Leafs can even offer Tanev.

Would've needed to be here before the deadline, no?

Go Leafs Go boys. That time when the playoffs end and I say I'm (frank)ing done with this team. This time of year when I start slowly convincing myself back to giving a (frank) and getting excited for a new season. cheers to summer boys.

Muzzin was good when healthy.
I feel it will be the same with Tanev, good when healthy and not trying to do too much.
But, he'll need a quality partner.

Tre has to sign two top 4 dmen.

I'd pay Stamkos $8m before Guentzel. But, less term though.

Chris and Chris "Ben Danford" Junior? It's like we'll get to watch Tanev for the next 20 years.

Despite his injury history, Stamkos is a workout cyborg. He's in great shape now and I'd feel comfortable giving him 3-5 years term. Giving him more than that feels risky though.

Losing both Stamkos and Sergachev is a bitter pill for Tampa fans to swallow. If Briesbois bungles this, he's gonna lose a lot of support from the fanbase.

I may end up pulling a Spatso.

How about spreading the same total dollar amount over 7 or 8 years to lower the cap hit, then utilize LTIR when his play drops off at some point.

nice try progressive👍

I would rather keep the hybrid vigor of dummi, berpuzzi and the grim reaver than make room for an injury prone inbred, one trick pony like shamkos🤦🏿‍♂️
