Agree, but the Buffalo tax is hefty. Overpay is our only option. Didn’t want to see Savoie go, but we do a quite a few similar players

It's only an overpay if Savoie is a very good player. There is upside/potential to McLeod, there is just way more with Savoie. Way more chance he's just nothing too.

Sabres either do moderately well or very badly on this trade. Time will tell.

Meh. it's still probably not an above average group but if they get goaltending and better play from Power and Clifton (and better coaching), could be an 8th seed.

Good thing McLeod is from Mississauga. Otherwise it would've cost Tage probably.

forwards 4-9 group is improved. Adams still desperately needs a top six scoring winger to play with Thompson and Tuch. For that trade I use Matt Savoie to close the deal, not the Ryan McLeod trade.
