Thanks! So he doesn't win 51%, his average is 49% and I like he's good Defensively. But Savoie should have been used for Top 6 Help, not bottom 6. - Buff36

No, I am not surprised. And I hope this kid works. But really have done nothing to replace the Offense we lost. |

I know he was 50.8% last year, but that's not steady yet. - Buff36
How many 24/25 year olds are already consistently over 50% on faceoffs?
It's a learned skill, especially with all the shenanigans that go in the league on faceoffs.
They were paranoid about a veteran player saying yes and then not giving a (frank) on the ice. |

Your trading a highly skilled offensive prospect for a defensive 3C.
People love points. Savoie got a lot in Junior. - DirtyDan[/quote
Right, isnt Savoie just one of those tiny soft forwards amoungst many of same prospects we already have??
And if I recall has a bum shoulder??
And we got an established NHL player that we need!! |

I’ve never once thought savoie was going to be a difference maker, maybe playing him with mcdavid gets him the Hyman boost but he wouldn’t hit that production in Buffalo and we already have a few of him in the pipeline.
I’ve also pretty much always wanted McLeod and I hope his desire to play with speed and in the hard areas is contagious. |

Nylander 2.0. Savoie is the same perimeter player

The Sabres have been awful and the Oilers were in the SCF so of course the Sabres are going to get dunked on but they traded a prospect from a position of strength for a need |

It’s a shame the NHL took out the conditions on a pick in a trade if a player signs an extension. Ehlers would probably be a Sabre by now. |

You needed a 25 year old who, at his absolute peak, is a speedy 40 point PK guy? |

Desperately.
They couldn't go into a season with Krebs and Lafferty as their center depth. |

Not McDavid level but like DeBrincat sort of thing? The dude had 71 points in 34 games in junior this year. That's absolutely nuts. |

And an overager. There’s a reason he didn’t make Team Canada’s world junior roster. He’s still a good prospect but to he is far from a sure thing. |

I mean there are other guys out there.
I just don't understand giving up one of the best forward prospects in the league for a role player. |

He was like 6 days away from being juniors ineligible this year - he was always going to look dominant |

I watched an awful lot of him in person this year and I can tell you he is easily one of the most talented forwards I have ever seen in the WHL. |

He's still eligible to play Jr next season as a 20 year old. |

90 in 65 in his draft year.
95 in 62 as an 18-19 year old
You can downplay it all you want he's still a top top end prospect |

Edit you are correct but he’s already 20. He will be in the AHL |
