On a side note:
My wife and I went to the Sabres-Lightning game in Tampa last year. Went to the party the day before to meet some old players and staff. Really was a fun time, best part was sitting with a retired former member of the staff. Was with the Sabres for 50 years, yup FIFTY YEARS! When he retired, his retirement was taken away, he was not given a party, and the owners never thanked him or even said goodbye. This is the state of ownership of the Buffalo Sabres. It sucks, now I can understand why players would refuse to come here. Also got to meet Scotty Bowman. That was pretty cool.

Played pretty well for CLB and I'd take him today over anyone we acquired in the past 5 years.

But he also got us more value than Savoie, despite being a worse prospect. So not sure they're the best comparables.

He’s 26, he wasn’t qualified by Columbus and is looking for a team to play on but yeah he’s better than everyone that the Sabres have acquired.

Ok, now you're completely off the rails. So draft position doesn't just say with a guy for 2 or 3 years, it stays for 8 - 10? The guy has played on half of the teams in the league at this point, and he has one good 10 game stretch to show for it.

Mad doesn't even begin to tell of it. I'm disgusted frankly. I'm not sure I could've drawn up a worse offseason if I tried. I'll let yall kibbitz on the issues, don't need to make this any worse but the simple fact is, this is not a playoff team. Were not even, sneak in barely territory.

Why is Zegras being faded so much? Wasn't he hurt last year? Before the start of the season there wasn't enough gold in Ft Knox to trade for him. I like the idea of Vatrano, but if the Ducks wanna do something dumb and make Zegras available, the Sabres should be all over that. Gets Tage to wing. That line would be dynamite.

Happens all the time prospects become suspects of very quickly in this league. I’ve been saying that for years.

Identify the three or four you want to keep trade the rest of them.

Adams as done exactly what he had said he wanted to do except find a top 6 forward. He has assembled the fastest bottom 6 in the league. Revamped the 4th line completely. He still needs a top 6 forward but this team is going to fly. They would need EVERYTHING to go right for them to make the playoffs as the roster stands currently. But as far as drawing up a worse off-season should we just go back to last year?
