Just watched that tonight with the kids, good stuff. Enjoy your break, and hang in there. We're all hoping for the same thing at this point -relevancy, wish it was cups and dominance but we'll take it one step at a time. Winning fixes everything.

I want to thank the Sabres for doing so much for me over the past couple of days. Their ineptitude at the draft will, in my opinion, scare off nearly any UFA other than ones that want to be substantially overpaid for way too long a term. I further think that the only free agents they sign, if any, are at best secondary players of virtually no significance. GM Pegula continues to show that he should stay completely out of the kitchen. However, happily while he does, if things go as they seem to be going, I should be able to once again by $140 tickets for $35, including fees, to go see other teams that know how to operate and put a legitimate NHL team on the ice. 18 years in a row. This is pitiful.

I feel like they would have targeted Mangipane.

Buffalo doesn't look appealing as we've been sh!t for 13 years. Ownership is a joke. Management is a joke. Until Ruff came back coaching was a joke. They told their franchise player he couldn't get the surgery he wanted and was recommended.

Sorry this post is late, 6 hrs difference here.

I have been brutal on the FO, however I can't really pin the Eichel surgery decision on him as much as I would love to. The surgery was not covered. Y Insurance, therefor all the financial risk remained with the Sabres.
I have a friend d who manages the Sales Region in the NE for the company that makes the device he wanted..it is highly successful, but does 't yet have the necessary medical history yet to be considered a save option for Ins Co's ... yet.
So I get Pebula saying no to a 0lyer they wanted to trade...let the other team make that decision is completely reasonable.

I have supported the acquisition of our bruiser 4th liner w/o a contract for a 2nd ( read that back slowly).

That said, had Adams merely O/S him to a $1.5m deal... The compensation would have been a big fat friggin zero ("0").

There is no way around the realization it is an overpayment of decent significance. So I do get the female dogin' on one hand.

Today is the day the sabres make a difference

They will shock the hockey world and will bet on Damien Brunner and kovalchuk coming back to the NHL as it's too difficult to close a deal with current players

-decline the deal
-renegotiate the assets in the deal to be less significant
- take the risk and make the deal
