That's the first signing where I thought, "Not bad" tbh. He can help you in a pinch if there's an injury. Felix Sandstrom is poopty. |

James Reimer
Nicolas Aube-Kubel
Jason Zucker
Bryson
and trade for Beck Malenstyn
it's like getting
Tobias Rieder
Riley Sheahan
Eric Staal
Cody Eakin
Drake Caggiula
Aaron Dell
and we wonder why the playoff drought has lasted so long

It’s a 2 way contract. I think we all can agree that if Levi isn’t ready. Then Reimer is your backup. But good lord. That is ugly.
If Reimer is in Rochester. Then I have no issues - Sabretooth9
buy out skinner
load the roster with scrubs
leave no spots for the first round picks over the last few years
literally they are hitting the pause button for another developmental season |

B+ for free agent adds. Zucker can play 6 different wing spots and net front powerplay. He drives the net in 5v5 and that is something we've been begging for.
Bottom line is fast, hard to play against and aggressive. Lafferty can actually win faceoffs. This was fine work.
I am always leary about giving massive money and term in UFA to big bois. Tyler Toffoli made some sense here, but he's already 32. A 4 year term is tough. Jake DeBrusk, 5.5x7, would have been a great add, as he's 27. Not going to bother with Stamkos. Think that contract is difficult to fit in a year or two and there's serious concern for decline. But it woulda been fun as (frank).
F for trades. Not sure we really need to go into it. A 2nd round pick on a 4th liner. His stats, (big, fast, responsible and angry) are not the easiest to find in UFA. Think this should have been one of our 4th round picks, but I don't really give a poop. I'm not going to be a hypocrit and complain about overpaying for a player you want and stand here and demand kev do whatever it takes for a big trade. So (frank) it. We have a billion prospects, we have like 10-12 players who are legitimate NHL futures, and most of our roster is long term guys. So (frank) it.
The real F is what needs to be done. We all saw what Krebs did with his opportunity. He doesn't have the play driving, the size, frankly the ability to carry a strong 3C line. Kev will sit there and throw praise at him because he has to. But it's a crock. He's a rotational 4th line center.
And where in almighty (frank) is god damn Ehlers.
Draft: A--/B++ - Great picks that add more flavor and versatility to the mostly skill high end prospects. Konsta, Kleber and Ziemer are guys that we don't have.
Free Agency: B+
Trades: F for (frank) you
Roster: B- until he adds the pieces he keeps talking about adding. |

I want a top 6 forward as bad as everyone else. But getting mad about Adams filling depth positions (which is what this team needed last year) is insane.
Let’s see what he does today and in the next few days.
My D day panic mode would be by Saturday pretty much everything is done
He has traded on the table. He just needs to accept them. |

Logically, Adams did pretty well on the bottom. Emotionally, he can go (frank) himself in one of Elon's rockets for not upgrading top 6 and 3c.
I'm fine with giving him a few more days. Still going to be irritated throughout. |

Another 3rd line wing I wouldn’t mind is Roslovic.
I don’t think he would be too expensive |

you have picks like kulich , rosen and savoie that should be able to make the roster
there is room for one of those and the gm is talking about helenius having a shot
if krebs is the third line center and greenway is a middle 6 winger, there is room for zero 1st rounders from 21 or 22 draft

So then your 3rd line should look like
Zucker - insert 3C - Kulich / savoie / Rosen?

if he moved greenway, krebs, joker in trades and got a top 6 winger and middle pair Rd guy
it would be ok
I doubt he makes a trade for either spots |

they should be done with free agency forwards. their roster is full, and inviting a guy like that creates a situation where if one of those prospects force a spot, you're left getting rid of 2 guys instead of one (greenway)

I honestly think at this point
2 of the kids should be allowed to get spots in our middle 6
savoie, and rosen were both picked in the top 14 of their drafts for phucks sake
right now if greenway is the third line winger and krebs is the center
there is no spots in the top 9 and adams has done nothing to be given the benefit of doubt
