I think Krebs is the 3C opening night, and Kulich is probably plan B. They may have just drafted their long term guy. That's how much pressure KA feels.

One thing becoming clear by his moves is that he doesn't feel good about some of the current prospects and how he's drafted.

If that has been his reluctance the whole time that doesn’t help future negotiations. At this point they need to move on because that option is over. He has failed more than I thought. But at least we have all these under achieving picks

Think he really is close to things, but KA can't close the deals.

I believe the idea behind Skinner is to not only have a more useful player there right now, but to also replace his production by his expensive year 3 with a Savoie and Kulich.

The league knew they wanted to trade picks and prospects for help and they couldn't do it, at least yet. Reinforces the idea that KA just wastes the time of other GM's and developing prospects to trade is bad business.

Think he'd sign? Would need to be a big number. I think I might get scared at where the team is, adding a 21yo and expecting not to be a lottery team. You can't make conditions on those picks, they get em whether it's 32OA or 1OA. You hit a lotto pick in 2025 and it goes down as the worst offer sheet ever done.

If you are concerned about the OS compensation picks hitting, then one shouldn't pursue one.

Byfield has gone through the growing pains in his development curve now, he is poised for a breakout and soon to be positioned as a 1C.

While he would be a great player to target with an OS, we know they are "outlawed", and LA has $11m in Cap to match, unless Kaliyev is an astronomical signing.

Consistently being 2 and 3 steps behind as a GM in terms of what your team needs is destructive to actually getting those things accomplished.

Learning on the job is for amateurs, not professionals.

You're tripping over samantics. He comes in and tells us poop is going down as an informed insider because of that family connection. He just doesn't really KNOW what is happening, just what is being discussed as possibilities... But he positions it as gospel.
Problem is, the rest of the GMs in the league consider him a joke and Pegula too.
