Here’s the issue with Gerbe, he didn’t claim to be an insider - He claimed he was FAMILY WITH THE PEGULAS.
- Jet Jaguar BD

I saw him at the draft on tv a few years ago. Little gremlin- looking kid was on the stage.

He might be a kid of the Pegula family lawyer.

He'd probably just get ripped up there I'd assume. Not sure there's much to coach up with him. Really rough for a 2nd rounder.

Ya, sure.
Last year he said the Assistant Coaches were all going to get fired ... Never happened.

Gerbe also alluded to the must discussed need of Top 6 and 3C coming in, with Ehler's as Plan A. Also said, watch out for Minne.... Both as in in Trades.
Did you see any trades?
No

4-liners, I'm ok with but WE ALL expected 2 trades for those 2 pieces based off Gerbe's post.

For being a family member, his hit rates are far far below 50%

- IonSabres

Maybe what Gerbe hasn’t accounted for is the level of suck Adam’s is….

Plan A … Ehlers, by all accounts is willing to come here but Kevyn drags his feet because Ehlers won’t commit long term and that offends Adam’s!

Adams Pivots to Plan B with Philly and Danny changed his mind. Which was also reported recently

It’s like that scene in moneyball where Billy calls a couple GMs and pulls some deals together but instead of doing it quickly, Kevyn waits a week and poop falls apart

Adam’s blows and Terry is incompetent and nothing will change until Terry sells or hires a real experienced hockey president and sits on his yacht. Maybe Lindy can complete the take over Ralph attempted….

I'm always ready to pile on Terry but Gerbe's post saying that this was a Lindy condition makes sense to me. I'm guessing they wanted a replacement but captain conversations couldn't close the deal so they panic bought Zucker as a plan B (plan D?)
- Hank Balling

Can't imagine Zucker was a top 10 option. He's what we feared, a 3rd liner who can hopefully play up a bit. The Clifton of F's. At least it's only a year.

We didn't even get the Clifton of C's. Could have used that.

That all checks out. I just can't even bring myself to say Zucker was a plan. He played 4th line last year...he isn't even going to move the needle for us. I knew there was an internal cap during these tanking years, but I really thought, given Adams talking about the time being now, that they'd actually spend.

I'm just gullible I guess. They got me. I'll still watch, but don't think I'm buying tickets at this point. Is there a real chance we're relocated in the next year or two, you think?

Deals look like they are going to happen, then KA can't get the job done. Can't put that on Gerbe.
- Lunaion

I do not believe one word adams says

I think he is so arrogant that he feels his prospects and his players are good enough to get it done

he is in over his head

Ratzlaff was a good pick though, he should've went higher. Leenders too fwiw.

There's a contradiction here, no question. We're now expecting a #14 to instantly leapfrog D+3/4 1st rounders. Teams want the guys they don't want to trade, not the ones who have been leapfrogged two years straight

Why Trade Back in the 1st Rnd, and I really don't want to hear that he got a free 2nd cause it wasn't free and he wasted on someone he could have gotten for one of our 4ths or probably on waivers. Doesn't make sense unless something was happening and fell apart just before the draft.

I dont think theres a chance this team gets relocated. Theres a chance someone decides to hire some actual hockey people with clout to make changes. I feel like the tail is wagging the dog recently - and thats why Lindy wanted to remove Skinner.

Signing Zucker feels like a trade deadline asset move.

Selling him for a 2nd to a playoff team

this morning the offer from Vegas was for the same amount as Nashville, but it was deferred money.

Heard Chad say this season is pretty much playoffs or get fired for Adams.

Kidding aside, sorry about your guy. Massively overpaid for Malenstyn, and he's no better. Not what I was hoping for.

Zucker is a decent player still and another 1 year stop gap for the kids to grow and move into the slot next year

He’s an ideal 3rd liner.
