It might be the death knell for HockeyBuzz.
I'm not too excited about talking Sabres this summer anymore fore sure.
Can't imagine many others are as well.

I do not believe one word adams says

I think he is so arrogant that he feels his prospects and his players are good enough to get it done

he is in over his head

- homiedclown

When asked if part of the plan was hoping the current players can get back to where they were two years ago, KA said it wasn't hope, it was belief.

If it makes you feel better

Fitz said the devils pick was between silayev and heinous but once silayev fell on their laps they weren't going to move the pick but had offers

Heinous Helenius

Big fan of the player outside the top 6.

getting rid of spencer knight solves this. Otherwise they're up against it again next season if Bennett and Verhaeghe sign equal deals.

Have to imagine Ekblad or Bob will be a goner.

If this is it, there's little to talk about until camp. UPL, Joker, and Krebs extensions I guess.

Not many KA diehards left to egg on the comments.

they'll be playing a vastly different system/style this year under a veteran coach who's produced good results in the past.

they've shown they have it in them and they're all in their primes outside of Benson and Power.

It's ifs and buts right now so all we can do is keep the faith. Kevyn needs to do his (frank)ing job though.

A decent 3rd liner is not what they wanted or needed.
- Lunaion

they absolutely needed a fast 3rd line winger that can score, is a vet and good on the pk

my problem is he will probably be playing on the 2nd line

Between the poopty offseason so far and the election coming up this place is going to be like the thanksgiving dinner table and everyone’s had too much to drink

They needed a 3C. Benson + Greenway, with Kulich + Savoie around would have been fine.

Krebs at 3C is not something I'd gamble my job on.

I know you personally hit on Lars Eller a few times..

The Pens have a bunch of aging centers, just signed Blake Lizotte and are looking to start turning the roster over in the next few years.

Eller can be a fine 3C and I think you'd only need a late round pick.

You still pretty sure Greenway is getting traded? If so, do you know why?

Problem I see now is that making an upgrade requires multiple moves. If you add a 3C, you need to do something with Krebs. If you move Joker, then you need to add a D. Maybe there's a big top 6 trade, but I don't think you sign Zucker to that deal if it were likely.

because his utility is negative.

sabres spent their free agency on a bunch of guys that can do the job greenway is supposed to do. then they spent 5 million dollars on a guy who can produce top 9 offense.

feels this way. I don't think his extension costs more than what he makes now.

Ok, so just a fit issue. I thought he would help our bottom 6, where he belongs, finally. Do you see the 4th line additions as improvements to him out of curiosity?

late round pick, give him the year, see if he's still got it for one more otherwise snag another one year center until Konsta is ready.

For what they want to do, yes.

They are very physical, they can actually win faceoffs, they are very fast and they are all adept on the PK.

This gives the Sabres two great PK units.

I wouldn't be surprised if Greenway is a Lindy favorite.
