It wasn't Terry holding this Team back the last 2 years in moves and Trades. It was Kevyn Adams and his hesitantation, being scared to lose a Trade, and "You Have To Want To Play In Buffalo". There were Trades to be made, Top 3 just didn't do it. Pegula has been a Horrible Owner but right know it's just having a BAD GM!

We both know the NHL and NFL are different animals. And even if there is some semblance of correlation here and he’s owned the Sabres longer, why has he NEVER hired a good GM? Why has his hockey team NEVER made the playoffs? Because he actually thinks he knows the NHL, knows more than the fans and know more than those Good GMs who promptly get up and walk away from them. Because what can a good GM actually teach Kim and Terry, that they don’t already know

They are different animals, in some senses. They have guaranteed contracts, a hard cap, much lower cap increases, and draft 18 year olds. The mistakes are much more costly. As basic professional sports organizations, they are more similar than not.

TM and JB may have been good GM's, if they were free of his meddling. JB will probably get another chance, so maybe we'll find out.

front office wise: besides Adams. We have 4 assistant Gms promoted to keep them around and 2 extremely well known analytics guys.

If we miss again and they had this type of offseason, I think the stadium would truly be empty...which loses Uncle Terry money...which is a big concern for his #Lifestyle. They may already made that bad problem worse with this current crack at an offseason.

So I'd say absolutely. I wonder if Bettman would be suggesting GMs to him again...

Sure, he definitely is trusting Adams to much. Doesn't mean he's not willing to spend. Unfortunately just means your bad hire is failing and you are to afraid to recognize it because of the Relationship built.
