Peca is still a very young in his coaching career. He’s not close to nhl level head coaching.

He has ways to go. It’s like the Sabres let go of bill belichick or something 😂

It’s endemic of the greater failure of this organization. You can upgrade a position, in the case an assistant coach and Adam’s trips over his crank, again.

I’m not saying Peca is Scotty Bowman reincarnated. I’m saying the Sabres PP was a one trick pony and they suck at faceoffs. Peca could have helped in both of those areas and helped the Rangers in both those areas.

Simply not making this change last year but making it this year show the sheer incompetence of this front office. Scared to make a move, slow to react and doesn’t know how to read the room to improve his team.

We supposedly have two of the more well respected analytics guys in the league. Does it seem like they ever listen to them? Maybe in drafting. At the pro level they seem to be ignored.

Basically a Vet min contract just like I predicted. And it's less than $1M so they can simply waive him to avoid the cap hit at any time. As I said, he's not a legitimate NHLer anymore, just a depth piece. Not so sure Tampa is going to be that good either.
