As salaries and the cap increase the 'income tax' issue is going to be increasingly influential.

Kuch vs. Matthews .....Reinhart vs. Nylander .....Point vs. Marner ....for a million reasons these contracts should not be as divergent as they are. Income tax on those size of contracts is equating to about 15% advantage. Spread that out over a 100M salary cap soon and you've got teams that can add 3 or 4 players that other teams cannot. It's an issue. Whether they need to or choose to do something about it is another question.
