The club did not extend a qualifying offer to Noah Gregor.

I rather liked Gregor. Oh well. Only a fourth liner really so....

I was just thinking that. Sign him to league min and see what he can do. He had success here and leafs were somehow able to reset Samsonov too. I would take a chance on him again. We all know that he knew his contract was to much for him and couldn’t get his confidence up.

He's the most mentally frail goalie I think I've ever seen. I don't think being bought out due to incredible failure is going to do anything to bolster his confidence.

He could sit in the minors and get in the way of our developing kids, or he can GTFO like he did when we didn't want to pay him the money he didn't deserve to begin with.

There are so, so many better options to me. I like the guy's personality - or at least I think I do! - but I just don't think this is the place for him.

Agree totally. Needs to go to a much quieter market to even try to rebuild his reputation as an nhl goalie. Definitely not a media frenzy type market.

I honestly can't believe the contract. Like, I know they only got 2 guys under contract for next season, but he's already their guy. There's no-one to bid against.

He's a bottom pair defenceman at best on a decent team, dude was just healthy scratched in the playoffs. 3m gone in cap space for that is not really ideal for a team always scratching for pennies.

Trade him for futures you can dangle down the line and sign someone at 1-1.5 per for that spot. 🤮

I think its fine. They hope he takes a bigger step on the PP.
Timmins is the guy I want to see take a big step into a real player.

At least the leafs had drafted a RHD. Just hasn't truly become a top 4 one.

Just over 12 million in space after Liljegren and don't have Tanev signed yet.

Don't think they could fit Montour, Tanev and a goalie with that 12 million, even if they could that leaves them without the centre and winger they could use up front.

Its only 2 years. Hes young and likely tradeable should they need to move him.
