plenty left to sign Swayman - 77emac77
Well they really could use another scoring forward. My guess is they will go bargain bin shopping for one after the sign sway. This is where the Korpisalo cap hit is going to hurt the most.
We will see how it plays out. |

Slight over payments but I like both signings. They had to get better on faceoffs and meaner defensively. Check and check.
Zadorov at 5*6 is too much but he is the type of defenseman they need in the playoffs. - Mahewman
I love it. Can't believe Sweens right now. Always a rollercoaster with this front office.

Yes and no. Right now DiPietro and Bussi have never played a game. It has never been the Bruins style to just award the job to a goalie.

I mean, that is a fair statement. They could have also traded for Forsberg and had them retain half. Its a small amount we are talking about anyways. If Bussi was going to be able to compete for the backup spot, they could have easily traded for either goalie. At least with forsberg it would have been less money and term.
I digress though. I'm sure Sweeney isnt done. DeBrusk is gone so we will see who gets to jump into his spot. |

Oh there were far better backups to be had. However Ullmark has made moving him very difficult. I heard listening to the Cam & Strick podcast and the Sports Hub that they were only talking to Ottawa. |

Edit: Also I think Korpisalo can be sent down.

He can be sent down, but I think that still presents 1.75M in dead cap. Situation is less than ideal. They will try to get Korpisalo back into form. Hopefully we see Bussi for at least a few games next season so he gets a look. |

Max Jones, 2 years, 1 million per. Looks like some depth with size. |

And Riley Tufte from Colorado. Bruins just adding all the size they possibly can. Sweeney definitely compensating for something. |

Feel like they should have taken a Flyer on Skinner on a 1 year contract |

I really dont like that Swayman isn't under contract already. This should have been a slam dunk and top priority. - dothedougie
Been on the road with the wife giving me updates. I just want to kick Sweeney in the head...get the (frank)ing Swayman contract done already. Sign him to Rask's last contract 7 for 7. |

DeBrusk gets 5.5 mil per for 7 years in Vancouver. Less than anticipated and just as much as Bert (although not on a team needing to get to the floor.
Shame, I would have probably entertained that amount. Depending on how the other signings go. Definitely wouldn't have gone higher. - dothedougie
Exactly, that was a doable deal if protections went away in the out years! |

Overall not displeased, does this mean we can move Hamwussy to the 3rd pairing? |

Would love to see if they can move him. Doesn't look like it's in their plan. Hopefully he returns to form or closer to it.

It will get done. Swayman is an RFA not a UFA. Had to deal with the UFA's first. Addressed severe needs down the middle and on the blue line.

so Sway has only gotten the "qualifying" offer from sweeney, if this goes to arbitration again he's gonna walk at the end of the year. |

All RFA's have to be qualified. Its' part of the process. He's not going anywhere.

Just wonder if Swayman is offer sheet eligible. Someone like vegas getting cute and offering him like 11mil per year for one year. |

Bringing in Zaddy daddy was more important I guess. Not that I'm mad about it. Although we will probably be on the PK more next year |
