I'd say I'm underwhelmed but I wouldn't want to be accused of being negative so I guess the Wings did fantastic so far |

Well if he's as good as NHL 24 projects him to be in a couple years... ha |

I monitor a lot of team bogs on this site and Jeremy is by far, hands down the best on the site. Frequency, competence and relevance. I actually enjoy the business of the game stuff re: television, etc as it dramatically effects the future of the game from a salary cap perspective. With the crash in salary cap rise with COVID we learned how impactful it can be on the game.
Not a Wings fan, but almost always read the posts here. Being from Buffalo any kind of competence around the team is appreciated. They should just shutter that franchise and give the keys back to Gary. Never going to win. Will not watch one of their games this year. Will have to find a way to follow our boy Patrick this year, though I refuse to buy that garbage ESPN package. Getting harder to follow the game with current TV format/contract. Not good. |

Well with the Habs giving Slafkovsky 7.6 mil per on a 8 year deal, Raymond is going to demand what 9 or 10 mil per on an 8 year deal. |

SWEET to see this!! We all pretty much agree: Jeremy IS the straw that stirs the drink for HockeyTown!!!
I can relate to the viewing issue: I am forced to pay for NHL Center Ice on DTV then supplement w/ESPN+ (after throwing up in my mouth a bit.....because.....ESPN ). From many of Jeremy's blogs, even ESPN+ may become harder to get ahold of. I do know that if I want to let a kids watch one of the streaming networks, I have to change the pass word, and re-authorize them every time (BOTH of those need to be done, btw....). Crap stinks!!!
Oh, hey: Thanks for letting us keep Kane for another year.......Don't you guys also have some kid named Tommason, Thumsun....Thompson? something like that? We'll take him, too
Enjoy the summer & be safe!!! |

Yeah, heard something about this today....maybe THAT'S why we are getting "character" guys, I dunno......
Listened to Winged Wheel pod this morning driving to GA, talked about the new DRW prototypical player.........interesting listen.

Raymond can (frank) right off to Sweden if he wants that much. |

See, I don't see what the issue is: You explicitly advertise what you're going to be like in your Username!!!! Meh, the dude is what he is.......will play nice for now.
Listen many folks on here are critical, some more than others. 99.99999% of the time, it's not a personal attack, it's borne out of frustration because we want to do better. So when I gripe or Feds complains, I see it for what it is.......frustration. Ole Optimuslottapus or whatever is just trying to stir up crap. I'll say this: the regulars here, while I may not agree with them, force me to research my opinions. That leads to similar or changing opinions sometimes. That's the beauty of blogging, I reckon: A chance at expanding your knowledge and challenging your viewpoint.
And, today, I am , so change your Username |

Thank you for that! Much appreciated. I have bad takes and end up having to own them, but this is a good community. You learn from multiple angles and I’m appreciative of everyone who pops in even if we disagree |

Yzerman will likely bridge deal Raymond for 5 mil or something. I'm hoping he doesn't do that with Seider too but the longer it goes, the more likely he bridge deals him too. |

Thanks as always brother. I appreciate you - Jeremy Laura
Agree Jeremy, never been a Wings fan, but you have nice insight and write objectively.
With that said. One thing is for sure, the league is getting what it wants. More parity. Dallas, Edmonton, Florida, Rangers, Carolina...all took steps back after losing key guys.
A few teams added and improved on paper. Not a leafs fan, but the d signings are a big step in the right direction for them.
Thoughts on the shuffling of chairs league wide? Any clear cut winners...teams that took next step? |

Devils improved. Dallas is about the same. Rangers are about the same. Avs didn't change much either. Bruins might have slightly improved despite losing Ulmark. Preds improved a lot. Oilers are about the same. |

Thank you so much for the kind words as well. Edmonton is a team that I’d heard is a little concerned about juggling numbers on the extensions. As for Leafs, I do think their D did improve, I think some of the reports are overselling what they did in net. At least one panelist on TSN was looking at Tavares expiration next year as an opportunity to do a solid upgrade. They seemed split on keeping Marner but he controls his destiny. |

I think that’s spot on. Trotz opened the checkbook and made some big changes. Respect. |
