And two years from now when Andrae's back in Sweden and they don't qualify Drysdale, it will just be York left.

So the Flyers are eating a portion of Atkinson’s contract for the next 2 years so they could resign EJ? Ok. Makes sense. After all, the Flyers have too many smallish defenders already. The rebuild is alive and well. Now keep Laughton, sign TK to an 8x8, and make sure Risto gets regular playing time along with EJ.

Is anyone surprised by anything anymore with this team?

Overall talent seems to contribute to NHL success more than size does, but the Flyers have a different plan right now. In time, we’ll see if this gamble pays off.

I am not a fan of the signing but now they have 6 dmen, 7 after Zamula signs.
Who will sit if Andrae would have come up? Can't sit Risto, they won't sit Seeler. They need a guy who can play here and there for when Drysdale and Risto get hurt.

This is why DB needs to tell his agent to put the crack pipe down. No way in hell TK should be getting anything close to Reinhart.

Sounds like you agree that a defenseman who can't even crack this lineup shouldn't have prevented the GM from taking Buium.

Never said he would. Rumor is that Tampa offered him 8 years, 3 mill a year. He is still going to try to demand a big paycheck and someone will pay it

Up until this season TK would have been comparable to Reinhart, but coming off a 57 goal season and just signing an 8 year extension for $69M at age 28, TK can ask for more but will not get it.
