DeBrusk is a proven playoff producer. The other two seem they can produce in the RT system the way they play. You have to remember Kuzmenko types don’t make it for RT. - Quinn's Quest
Thanks for breaking down the team structure and coaching philosophy!

Not uncommon for Russians to struggle in transition to the NHL. Most are not developed to play D. |

No thanks on Yamamoto.
We got enough small mid six forwards with Hoglander, Garland and the new buzz saw kid.
Neither of those have enough grit imo. |

The problem with Kuzmenko was that he couldn't score when RT took over. Were he able to do that he wouldn't have been traded for Lindholm. It had little to do with him and RT, he just wasn't effective playing for RT and refused to adapt because he's in the prime of his career. Zadina and Yamamoto are barely in their 20's and would make easily adapt to a new system especially since RT has had the time to bring in all his staff and put in the systems he wants to and not have to deal with the baggage BB left him. |

You need scoring too, that's not coming from just grit, you need a good dose of pure skill too. Other than Hughes and Petey we don't have that game breaker. |

Now to value shop and try to pickup some talent on league min.
For puck mover D
Adam Boqvist 23
Anthony DeAngelo 28 (Tons of talent, absolute douche, but if Toc sits him down and states how it is and will be, there is your 2nd pair pivot)
They both have issues, but under Toc, Foot, and Gonch maybe they smarten up and smell the early end of their careers.
Forwards
Filip Zadina 24 (last chance befire Europe)
Max Comtois 25
Alex Nylander 26 (11 goals in last 23 games with CBJ)
Jack Roslovic 27
Jacob Vrana 28 (Lots of talent, won a Cup, needs to get head straight, but value could be there)
All these players should be open to league min offers on a good competing team.
Adding Vrana and Tony D to this squad would be great rolls of the dice. And if they dont work out? Waive and there is no cost.

Reuby must be thrilled with the signings. Must be staying away because he doesn’t have anything negative to say |

The example had nothing to do about him being Russian lol. Should have I said Skinner type for you to get what isn’t an RT type player lol. |

Enjoy Heinen. He is one of the more underrated players in the NHL with a good motor and can play anywhere in the lineup. Not happy we let him walk over 2.5 million. |

He’s a full on Bruin now. Signing Hronek was the last straw for him. He wanted Lindy and Zadarov signed so he got his wish the other way lol. |

Yes & No. Starts with having the puck or getting the puck. Forecheck is key. Gotta win board battles. Break outs are everything.
Offence is more than talent & more about puck possession & shielding the puck. Clean passing & fast transition. |

No I said it had everything to do with being Russian. Big ice & less likely to do the dirty work is Russian hockey.
Look at Kucherov 144pts only +8. A PP wizard superstar on offence does nothing else. Still in the Hart running. Very few like him ever.
As for Russian D & G that’s another matter cuz they tend to be good. |

Kucherov 53 PP pts outta 144pts.
Doesn’t PK. +8 means roughly 91 5v5 points & on the ice for 83ga.
That is a goal a game against on average. |

Yamamoto was a bust last year, and he was given every opportunity to succeed. |

Yamamoto had every chance in Edm with Drai and did nothing. Got demoted, then sent away and did nothing in Sea. Too small and not hard on the puck at all.
